Aik Aur Pakeezah Episode 8 Written Update and Review

Akbar comes home. Pakeezah isn’t there because she’s hiding on the stairs outside. Kaise gayi wo bahar? Wahin se toh Akbar aaya na?

Anywho. We see a small recap of episodes so far during rickshaw ride. She drops her mask off and the determined expressions on her face tells us: she has changed her mind about something.

Next, we see her at Saman’s office. Beautifully shot. Cried my eyes out.

Faraz talks about his mother, marhoom, his sisters. Pakeezah pats his head as he weeps. By the way, Numair/Nameer ko rone ki acting nahin aati.

Aslam and Akbar sense something different with the house and just know. They ask, and Aliya breaks down. Now she talks, tells how Pakeezah was, how she brought Aslam’s favourite fruits and no alu bukhara for aliya. She ate laddu when lying to Pakeezah and ate fruit chaat when talking about Pakeezah. She emotes it beautifully. Everyone hiding, lying, suppressing their emotions just because one a**hole got away with two people. This was so true and accurate depiction of society but at the same time, so freaking painful to watch.

Asim suggests that Saman should confirm Pakeezah’s story but she has blind faith, shows how lawyers think. Not blaming Asim. And then they discuss the case.

Saman feels guilty about cancelling all the plans of newlyweds but Zubair doesn’t mind, he’s so mature and understanding. I think his support will cause a tiff in their relationship. Saman will take the case too seriously, he will support but at one point, he’d say: bahot ho gaya.

Pakeezah tells Faraz about her new life plan. He’s against everything: that she’d file a case against Yaseen, that she’d staying somewhere else, that she isn’t letting things go. He wants to be with her but he lacks the courage to be with her.

Pakeezah is living with Saman’s mother now. So, she has a new target to try her vicious words. This is the first time Pakeezah speaks in her defense, says she did nothing wrong, nor did Faraz. It was Yaseen who was the culprit.

And turns out she was only making Pakeezah practice to be strong once the case begins. Lovely! Asim and Saman also prep Pakeezah for what’s to come. It’s a good team.

When Aslam finds out, he loses his mind but I felt that Aliya was kinda relieved. The teaser if next episode shows something wrong with Aslam. Did he try to kill himself? We’ll find out next week.a
