Dil Wali Gali Mein | Episode 18

Khadeeja and Mujtaba’s fairytale continues. They have a lush apartment now and no furniture so when Sakhi visits, he orders Billa and Guddu to buy them furniture. The shopping spree was part-fun, part-dragged. I mean, the way Khadeeja dealt with Billa and Guddu by being bossy, it was supposed to make us laugh and admire her but it felt so forced and so unfunny. The scene where Sakhi talked about Bilqees and the Billa-Guddo duo wept was funny and emotional, both.

Sab timing ka kamal hai.

Sakhi isn’t the only wellwisher for Mujtaba and Khadeeja, Bilal and Anwar are there as well, even though they don’t have Sakhi’s unlimited means and monies. Bilal buys electronic items from a guy who was selling auney-pauney for some personal reasons. Anwar, on the other hand, brings a few second hand chairs only to see the apartment filled with furniture.

Can I prefer one over the other? I guess so. Anwar and Bilal’s gifts come with no fear and risk.

But Sakhi and his gang members are good fellas. Let’s enjoy the fairytale while it lasts.

Oh, I couldn’t help but notice how Billa and Guddu spend the whole time at the apartment. We also learn about their back story: Billa loved Shabana but her family rejected the proposal because they seemed him a criminal. Guddu had a phadda with someone and needed refuge so joined the gang. They are good people, in short. Makes us feel twice about criminals I guess?

But my question is, when will they do ghundagardi if they are busy setting up the apartment. Huh?
