Remember I said that Mujtaba and Khadeeja seem to live a fairytale since they met Sakhi? Well, the fairytale is over.

The reality bites back.

Her family

Lubna is so maathi that she’s sharing Mujtaba’s plight with Hamza: how Mujtaba used to stay at the godam etc. she wants Hamza to find out which hole are they living in now. Because achha guman rakhna toh iss ghar mein kisi ne seekha hi nahin hai.

I liked how Bilal snapped at Lubna. At the same time, I felt that if he hadn’t been a spinless man (other than the time he took a stand Lubna when Durdana questioned Lubna’s character), the women in his house wouldn’t have turned out so toxic and stupid. And even Dabboo for that matter. Ajeeb hi family hai yeh.

His family

Speaking of crazy family, Mujtaba’s family isn’t far behind in the insanity rank. Durdana kinda forces Ishtiyaq to bring them to Blue Sky Apartments. Looking at the lavish apartment, the three of them have questions. Loads of them. To which, Khadeeja and Mujtaba reply with lies, white lies, lies that would come back and bite them in the rear.

Now, our greatest mind Tamkenat thinks that Durdana has bought that apartment for Mujtaba. Ishtiyaq had to present a fake scenario to explain to her that she is better of if she gets the school. Kya aurat hai bhai?

The neighbours

Speaking of silly and nosy women, there’s one in Khadeeja’s neighbourhood as well, Chammo. Her pastime is to collect rumours from the neighborhood, multiply with 1000 and spread. She had made up a few things about Mujtaba and Khadeeja. Khadeeja hasn’t denied them. And I sigh, remembering: bura pachhtaogi.

The boss

Ever since the Sakhi episode happened, Haji Saheb has been constantly taunting Mujtaba. He has had enough. So, he quits. I like his scene when he bids goodbye to Anwar.

Anwar: this is your own decision. Mere sar mat bandh dena.

Funny!

Khadeeja’s reaction when she learns that Mujtaba has quit the job:

Khadeeja convinces an old friend to give Mujtaba a job at the call center.
