Dil Wali Gali Mein | Episode 9
Police se bach gye kachehri peechha nahin chhor rahi
In the first few minutes, things happen like snap-snap-snap.
- Malik Manzoor daughter leaves the school worrying Tamkenat and Durdana
- Mujtaba’s boss isn’t happy with Mujtaba
- Khadeeja comes back
Back to the school, the scene when Bilal arrives with Khadeeja was yet another one that made me forget to breathe.
Here’s the deal: I don’t handle tension well, especially since the past year or or. I forget to breathe, that’s my physical response to stress.
And this scene, the one where Durdana immediately decides to let Khadeeja move to the staff room because it has attached bath, it made my heart stop for a while. The look on Bilal’s face was so difficult to watch. All of that for a washroom.
Attached washroom is not the end of the world, is it? I know houses constructed on 3000 square feet and having zero attached bathrooms. There are 5 kitchens and just as many washrooms but none of them are attached. Itna kya panga pe rakha hai.
I’m not saying that Durdana did was right in blowing things out of proportion, but if I were her, I would have reacted the same way. Attached bath k liye itna siyapa, uff Allah.
Forget Durdana and Tamkenat, they are mother-in-law and sister-in-law respectively. On the other side, Deeju’s own mother and sister blame Deeju (and I’m with them, at least this time).
I also want to note Sajal’s dressing. I mean I know some actresses bring their own clothes and stylists etc. Sajal’s look the same every time she plays the middle-class girl. She was different in Ishq-e-Laa because her role was different but in this drama and the one with Bilal Abbas Khan, was it Kuch Ankahi? She looks the same. The black kurta she wore in this episode, I felt that I have seen her wear it before, and not in this drama. She sports the same wavy hair mostly let loose and occasionally in a messy bun, fitted kurtas with short sleeves and wide neck, t-shirt and pajamas for night time… It’s repetitive, and I don’t like her style.
Take Ayeza Khan for example. She’s different in Chaudhari and Sons. And in Chupke Chupke, and Mein. She puts in a lot of effort to style herself differently even if her roles are the same. and I commend that. Sajal, not so much. Okay, rants over.
