Doctor Bahu | Episode 4

Dr. Bahu explores the theme of quiet control hidden behind progressive appearances. In a respected family of doctors, their youngest non-doctor son is married to a doctor—adding another accomplished daughter-in-law to a household where women are not allowed to work.

When the youngest daughter-in-law enters this world, she begins to challenge the unspoken rules, subtly shifting power and exposing buried hypocrisies.

Doctor Bahu Episode 4 Written Update and Review

Nikaah date is sooner, rather than later because Shahnawaz and Faizan are going for conferences and even Salman has some work. Dr Sania doesn’t like it that her exams aren’t given much importance. I don’t know how to feel about that. I have seen wedding date set a week after final exams. I don’t think that helps, either. Once shaadi date is set, I don’t think anybody can compartmentalize so well that they don’t think about the upcoming wedding and just focus on the studies. But hey, what do I know?

Okay, so we like this episode a bit only for showing how Sania realized her mistake: of jataoing to her father that she said yes for Salman because of him.

Main aap logon ki Khushi mein apni khushi dhund lungii.

I always say this to my sibling: ya karo nahin, ya jatao nahin. Saare kiye karaye par paani phir jata hai jata kar. The stabbing case at the hospital made Sania realize her mistake. Whatever the case, at least she admitted of being wrong. Waise hai badi pange-baaz ladki. This isn’t the last time she snaps, I’m guessing.

Mina and Salman come to pick up Sania for shopping and Asad the tayazaad is also there, interrupting, which Salman has befitting replies for. Bhai wala bahot hi sahi thha. And then Salman pushes Asad out of the house. The swag was awesome, if you ask me, and I couldn’t help but chuckle: pange-baaz dulhan, phadde-baaz dulha.

Most of the episode was montages of preparation, nikaah and afterwards just a feel of celebration which didn’t have forced dances etc and had a very soft background music playing. LOVED it . Very few dramas capture the nikaah so beautifully and yet show the celebration. I just had a feeling that phupho might not live? Oh, and it’s confirmed that Farheen also has cancer. Tch! Feeling a hollowness in my chest. Too relatable. Not me, someone close had cancer once. Alhamdulillah cured but that word is a trigger for sure.

I also liked how Sania broke the ice after nikaah with “i know kick-boxing but don’t worry, won’t use on you”. Sweet, so sweet I got toothache. I couldn’t find anything to rant about in this episode which is so rare, isn’t it?
