Chaudhry and Sons Episode 19 Written Update & Review
Pari isn’t happy about the nikaah
Tashi tells Pari about the nikaah, and guess what? Pari isn’t happy. That is strange. What’s more. She shares this with the one person she shouldn’t share it with. Tooba, that’s who. In all fairness, it was Tooba’s incessant pestering that forced Pari to confide in her. But she shouldn’t have, she really shouldn’t have done this.
Now, Tooba knows something that she can use to her advantage.
And so she does.Â
Billu is so in love
“Billu Chaudhry, tujhe mohabbat ho gayi hai,” Shobi tells Billu.
Yes, it is so evident. You can see it in his eyes, his face, his smile, his whole demeanor has changed. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Shobi notices this change in his best buddy. Billu is still in the “denial” stage, though. Or perhaps, he himself doesn’t know that he’s in love.
Imran Ashraf shows us time and again that he is one of the finest actors in Pakistani industry. In one scene, he stares at Pari from the terrace. Pari goes inside and then the camera stays on Billu. He looks around as if he’s confused, as if he can’t understand how he’s feeling, as if he likes this little confusion. Kudos to the actor and the director, both. Beautifully shot!
Tooba bursts the bubble
Tooba tells Billu that Pari isn’t ready for this nikah. That bit is true, but Pari has her own reasons. She doesn’t want to base her new relationship on a lie. Tooba, however, paints a different picture. Billu now thinks that he is undesirable. It has dampened his spirits only slightly. But we do see a change in him. Tch… Billu boy, we are with you.
Pari can be quite ruthless
I hadn’t realized this until today. So far, Pari came across as a sweet person, but this episode changes that.Â
Now that the groom-to-be and the bride-to-be know about their nikaah, there should have been some romance, no?
No. NO. BIG.FAT.NO.
Billu confronts Pari about her refusal to marry him.
Billu: Do you like someone else?
Pari: I’m not that kinda girl. I never looked up from books.
(Dear Pari, your result doesn’t reflect that. You failed two subjects :-))Â
Pari tells Billu that she doesn’t find Billu charming.Â
“Maamooli shakal ke to ho,” she tells Billi
Ouch!Â
Pyari Pari, I hadn’t expected this from you. Later, we see her still worried that she’s keeping a secret from her family. If that was the case, she shouldn’t have broken Billu’s heart, no?
I’m sure the romance will be back on track, soon. But I didn’t like this little setback. Pari is too sweet to have said something so hurtful.

ReviewÂ
This episode was quite happening. Many events transpired, each progressing the story forward and introducing a new character trait for Billu and Pari. I will get to that in a bit, but first I want to praise just how beautifully Saima has written this episode.Â
- Dildar Chaudhry is talking to Chacha Mukhtar.
- He asks Billu for “Toonti” so he could talk privately.
- Billu bullies Bunty (love alliteration) to find his ear pods. Ear pods are in his pants.
- Billu asks Naeema about his pants–in the laundry, thanks to Pari.
Instead of scolding Pari, Naeema simply let’s go, saying: “koi nahi khair hai. Teen char hazar ka nuqsan ho gaya.”
She lets go of 3-4k for sake of her future daughter-in-law. Isn’t that sweet? I would have killed the person if someone washed my ear pods. But then, I’m the one to do laundry and I always check the pockets. Often, I find cash in my brother’s pants and kurtas. I keep them. Finders keepers losers weepers 🙂
I digress. So, Naeema let’s it slide, so does Billu Chaudhry. He is hurting about what Pari said about him, but he doesn’t want to hurt her back. That is so so sweet.Â
