Chaudhry and Son Episode 21 Written Update & Review

Pari and Billu’s outing

Pari doesn’t tell the third reason why she has agreed to marry Billu. I stand corrected. There was neither romance, nor phadda. They run into Shahrukh instead, remember him?
Given how much Pari is scared of Shahrukh, so to save herself from Shahrukh’s nosy questions, she introduces Billu as “my fiance” much to Billu’s and our surprise. This was a welcome U-turn

Dildar Chaudhry is caught romancing with Dr Salma

Malka Begum is up on the terrace just to prove to Bunty that she can walk up the stairs. She overhears Dildar Chaudhry trying to woo Dr Salma with lines

“Hamare Dil se mat khelo, khilona toot jayega…”

and

“Chalo Dildar chalo, chand kay paar chalo…”
She doesn’t know who he is talking to, but she does know that something’s cooking. She drops her spects there, so even Dildar Chaudhry knows that Malka Begum knows. He knows that she knows… 🙂

Tooba and Shobi are becoming a thing

Shobi is relentlessly pursuing Tooba. And Tooba is finally falling to his charm as well. Tooba and Shobi are becoming a thing and I like it. Hammad looked so handsome in that scene.

Billu and Dildar Chaudhry’s bond is so strong

“Yeh pehli shadi hogi jo ladka apne dada ki khushi ke liye, aur ladki apni dadi ki ladki ke liye kar rahe hain,” Billu says.
He is so right. And the way he hugs his grandpa while talking to Naeema was so cute and endearing.

Paro’s hitting on Tashi

Paro’s engagement is called off and now the two bhabhis are taking Tafsheen’s class. This is the perfect time for the bhabhis to join hands in insulting Tafsheen. That scene was so hilarious.

Billu and Pari are caught red-handed by Malka Begum

Billu and Pari come back home, and are caught red-handed by Malka Begum who is anxiously waiting for Pari to come home. Malka Begum and Naeema both know that they were fooled by others just so Billu could talk to Pari. Surprisingly, neither of them mind this. They seem to be very broadminded people. As long as the two of them are getting along well, the family is happy, I guess. As are we.

Shipping Billu and Pari

Billu is a changed man now. He doesn’t mind that Pari is trying to use his phone without her persmission.

“Achha laga mujhe, meri chizon pe tumhara haq jatana,” Billu says.

And he’s feeling possessive. To avenge Emma’s wallpaper in Billu’s phone, Pari puts up Feroz Khan’s pic on her phone. Bas phir, Billu Chaudhry loses his temper.

Performance

As usual, everyone has performed well but I want to mention Hammad Shoaib today. His scenes with Zoya were so sweet.

Haha Moments

  • “Kyu? Tumhara pakwan center hai?” Billu asks Shahrukh.

  • Billu hugging his grandfather lovingly saying: “hamari dosti ko nazar na lagana, Amma”
  • “Yeh chashma toh Malka ji ka hai. Ismein se Malka dadi nikal ke kahan chali gayin?” Pleasure, pleasure!” Dildar Chaudhry says when he learns that Malka Begum has overheard his conversation with Dr Salma.
  • “Iss phone mein aisi app chahiye ki insan iss mein hath dale aur dusri taraf ke insan ko daboch le,” Malka Begum says when Pari doesn’t pick up her call.
  • “Badi koi technical type ki insult ki hai aap ne meri,” Billu tells Shakir.

References (Because it has become a thing now)

  • Chunni ankhon wala Feroz Khan is mentioned again.
  • And Dildar Chaudhry sings “Tan jhoom jhoom”
  • And he remembers “Khuda Aur Mohabbat” as Iqra Aziz’s drama.
  • Yasir’s directorial movie “Wrong Number”.
Dildar Chaudhry: Expressions samajhta hain. Khud bhi to director hai na
Shakir Chaudhry: saare “Wrong Number” yahin paida huye hain

(Yasir Nawaz has directed Wrong Number, fun movie by the way)
