Dil-e-Bereham Episode 1 Written Update and Review
Dil-e-Bereham is a love story with revenge at its core. Or should I say that it’s a revenge story with a little bit of romance sprinkled in?
Dil-e-Bereham revolves around a very cliched story–two brothers were separated as a result of a conspiracy in the past, and daughter of the less-fortunate brother marries son of the priviledged brother for revenge.
Where have I heard that story before?
In several novels that publish in monthly digests. This story is done to death, but then I wnated to see Wahaj Ali as a solo hero. I have only seen him as part of an ensemable cast in Ehd-e-Wafa.
So, Ayeza marries her first cousin Tabish, but nobody knows that she is the daughter of the underprivileged brother Suleman, and that she is here to seek revenge.
“Zamana badla hai, naseeb to nahin,” Aleena says.
Performances
- Irsa Ghazal comes across as a cunning manipulating mother-in-law and I simply loved her performance.
- Sameena Ahmad’s makeup is on point for an ailing distressed mother. Loved it.
- Hina Khwaja Bayat is lovely as ever, although it is refreshing to see her as a revengeful woman.
- Behroz Sabzwari has a strange hair-cut, and I kept wondering why that was.
- Amar Khan looks pretty, and she has a nice voice but her dialogue delivery falters many times.
- Wahaj Ali, the reason I started watching this drama, has very little role. I mean, there are Bollywood movies where heroines are used as props and then there is this drama where hero is a prop. I’m not kidding. His role is that he was the reason Ayeza could come in this house of mysteries, and that’s all.
