Mein Episode 32 Written Review

Assalamualaikum dear followers,

It’s Shabana Mukhtar back with the recap and review of the latest and last episode of Mein.

Honestly, I don’t have much to recap. All the key characters are living alone, by themselves, staring at a distance with a frown on their faces and longing in their eyes. Could it be more Unhappily Ever After or what?

  • Ayera left Zaid
  • Mubashshira left Zaid
  • Kashmala left Rayan
  • Rayan was jailed
  • Kashmala left her father
  • Asif was alone, asking Ejaz, one of his servants, to join him for breakfast
  • Jafar was nowhere to be seen

We saw most of these characters sulking alone but nobody even thought of making amends, except Zaid who tried to talk to Ayera but she was like: no, can’t do.

Isi baat pe Shauq Qidwai ka ek sher yaad aa raha hai.

میں بھی فانی تو بھی فانی سب ہیں فانی دہر میں
ایک قیامت ہے مگر مرگ جوانی دہر میں

mein bhi faani tu bhi faani sab hain faani dehr mein
aik qayamat hai magar marg-e-jawani dehr mein

I am also mortal, you are also mortals, all are mortals in this world
And yet, a death at young age is a resurrection

A parody, if I may, fits these characters.

mein bhi ziddi tu bhi ziddi sab hain ziddi “Mein” mein

iski unhappy ending phir bhi boring hai “Mein” mein

I never said I could write poetry.

So, that’s the recap.

Review

I didn’t have much hope for this drama because of the title itself, but boy was it a disappointment and how. I stopped watching after episode 18, because I’m an escapist and this drama was NOT. I can watch some cringe, some melodrama, some angst, but not when angst and harted is flung from all directions. No sire, not my cuppa!

Read the introduction again:

Mein is a dramatic story of two strong-headed individuals who end up crossing paths due to being unlucky in love while facing family and societal pressures!

Now that we have watched the drama, that’s a gross understatement. Mein wasn’t just about two strong-headed individuals who ended up together. It was two about seven strong-headed individuals each with a larger ego than the other.

~

Everyone had an ego, a huge one at that. Some showed it, some didn’t, but they all had ego, much like real people do. The biggest problem was that they ALL let their ego get the better of them. Uff!

Until next time, fellow drama addicts! Stay tuned for more twists, turns, and reviews.
