Mere Ban Jao Episode 12 Written Update & Review

Assalam Alaikum Dear Readers,

It’s Shabana Mukhtar, and I’m back with my thoughts on the 12th episode of “Mere Ban Jao”. If you’re looking for a serious review, you’re in the wrong place. But if you’re looking for some witty commentary and a few laughs, then you’ve come to the right place.

Let’s start with Azmiya. This girl is the epitome of indecisiveness. One minute she wants to marry Fardeen, the next she wants to leave him, and then suddenly she can’t live without her mother. I mean, come on, girl, make up your mind! But of course, it’s not just Azmiya’s fault. The whole situation is a mess, and everyone seems to be in on it.

Alright, so Azmiya has taken another U-turn. She first runs away and goes to live with Zaki’s family. Then, she suddenly wants to forget everything and go back home even if it means living with the monster called Fardeen.

Long story short, Hajra and Zaki bring Azmiya home. Fardeen investigates Azmiya like he’s a detective on a mission. He talks as if he is the epitome of truth, and Azmiya is the epitome of lies. I mean, seriously, dude, calm down. To make things worse, Hassan and Nighat say shitty things about their own sister/sister-in-law. Like, what kind of family is this? I swear, if they were my siblings, I’d disown them on the spot.

Fardeen and family walks out of the house, while Zaki, Hajra and Azmiya are kicked out.

And don’t even get me started on Salima and Murad… or is it Imran? I forget Fardeen’s father’s name. Anyway, they ask Fardeen to move back to the US. Um, excuse me, but weren’t you the ones who wanted Azmiya out of the house in the first place? Now you want Fardeen to leave as if he is the victim? Make up your minds, people! After everything that has happened, Fardeen and his family think that they are the most righteous people on earth. Why are they all forgetting that Fardeen divorced Azmiya? Why are they forgetting that Fardeen lied about everything?

The episode ends as Nadra bickers again about Azmiya.

Review

Why did I watch this episode? Why did I come back to this drama? I don’t know… I guess because I was working late and I needed some noise to drown the noise inside me. You know what I mean?

I hate how Salma treated Hajra. It’s like a chain of humiliations thrown from one family to the other. First, Fardeen insults Hassan, Azmiya and family. Then, Salma insults Hajra an Zaki. Kyu? Why didn’t she yell at Fardeen and his father? I did not like Salma’s abuse of her power.

Before I sign off, I must appreciate Hira Tareen’s performance. I have always seen her playing elite women roles. In this role, she loses her accent and gets under the skin of Nadra. And let me tell you, she’s killing it. I mean, sure, the show has its flaws, but Hira’s performance is on point.

Will I watch the next episode? I highly doubt it, but I can’t say for sure 😀
