Muamma Episode 19 Written Update and Review

Okay, so, we start with a quick recap: Junaid comes to talk to Jahan Aara, in full swag, sits down, and says:

Junaid: aapko kya lagta hai main itni aasaani se chala jaunga? No, I know all about your husband, who’s in jail for a murder that you committed.

And we all were like, how did he know?

This episode twists the twist on its head so abruptly, that it seems bizarre.
  • Jahan Aara is unperturbed.
  • She boasts about being several miles ahead of everyone else.
  • In short says: you can’t do anything.

My grouse is that she kept touching Junaid’s face the way we do to young kids when we tease them about being dumb? I hated it, and not from the religious angle. I know its a drama but even for the drama, the kinda image Jahan Aara has, she keeps distance, itna physical hone ki kya zaroorat thhi? I think, I THINK, it was Saba’s take on the scene. I could see real Saba in that scene (not that I know her personally… from whatever I’ve learned about her watching her dramas for more than a decade).

The other noticible scene that I remember, because it pissed me off so bad, was Jahan Aara coming to talk to Sajal’s parents to convince them:

ek kaam karo, yeh laga lagaya rishta tor do aur Naveed se shaadi kar do.

It was abrupt, incoherent and so one-sided, almost as if a queen came  and ordered them to change their decision and they did. Again, very strong Saba vibe in this scene. I would have wanted to see the character, not the actor. But that’s just me.

And that’s all I remember of this episode. What was it, an eternity ago? Swamped these days to do reviews, or even watch stuff.
