Muamma Episode 2 Written Update and Review

The scene that Zeeshan creates ends as Zara bring him inside with help of Ashiq. I liked how she gets up and holds her back. Typical of women who are expecting. I have observed too many such women in the past year.

And this time we see a mirror from the other side of the house. My first thought was:Kitne aayiney hain bhai iss ghar mein? But then I realized, the mirror in episode one in Zara’s bedroom was just to throw us off. This is definitely someone watching them from the other side of the wall. Creepy!

Ashiq thinks Zeeshan is right, and while he’s talking to Asiya about it, her phone rings.

Ji Gigi?

(Love the phonetics of it).

Asiya tries to console a weeping Jahan Aara.

Qasoor chahe mard ka ho, badnaam aurat hi hoti hai. Bewafai chahe mard kare, tanhai ka ghum aurat hi jhelti hai.

And she’s upset that Zara is still looking after Zeeshan. How exactly does she know that? Asiya doesn’t get that answer. Instead, Jahan Aara asks Asiya to leave, switch the lights off.

The neighbors create a scene next day, men ask Jahan Aara to leave the house alongwith her tenants (kyu bhai?), women call her names except one woman who’s sympathetic, Ashiq enjoys the drama. Jahan Aara goes to her room, locks herself in, and then… Asiya calls Zeeshan for help because apparently nobody else can help. Ashiq kidhar thha? Don’t ask. Dramas work that way.

At the hospital, she calls Zara in, weeps uncontrollably and wins her over. Zara leaves the house, promising she’d never mention Zeeshan to her child, while Jahan Aara watches.

And then she breaks the fourth wall and smiles at us. Chills, literal chills.

Asiya brings tea for Jahan Aara but doesn’t find her there, or in the washroom, or outside. Suddenly, Jahan Aara appears in her bedroom. Asiya is surprised but has no time to process it.

Zeeshan calls Jahan Aara repeatedly. She ignores at first but then picks up. Zeeshan thanks her for the food (still) and for giving him time to move out apologizes for confessing his love out out.

Can’t everything go back to the way it was?

This paglu can’t understand that he is of no importance to Jahan Aara now. Is he imagining Jahan Aara’s love or has Jahan Aara suddenly changed her behaviour. We don’t know. It’s probably the latter. Jahan Aara broke this couple up intentionally. Reason? We don’t know.

Zeeshan is sitting alone, reminiscing how he used to treat Zara over silly things like making tea.  Advocate Shakeel who works for Jahan Aara comes to give him a notice to vacate the house immediately and return the 2.75 lakh rupees he borrowed from Jahan Aara, she has receipts.

Zeeshan goes to talk to Jahan Aara which she does after some dilly dallying. He talks about everything that has changed in Jahan Aara. Jahan Aara says everything she did was out of humanity. And she compared, word for word, her actions to him and to Zara. If this was a court case, jury would be divided. But this isn’t. My hunch is that Jahan Aara did it on purpose. We just don’t know what the purpose is. I mean, if she has been betrayed in the past, what Good does it bring to ruin others life?

Episodes ends as Zara comes to seek advice from Jahan Aara, whether she should come back to Zeeshan because apparently he’s sorry. Wait for the next episode to see how Jahan Aara responds.

So far, loving this drama.

Review

Saba is on fire in this drama, but when is she not? Love her, have liked her since I watched Thakan on zindagi channel around a decade ago.
