Namak Haram Episode 10 Written Update and Review
OMG! What an episode it was! This is that one drama that never fails to surprise you, this is that one drama that always succeeds in shocking us no matter how prepared we are, this is that one drama that doesn’t make me wince with cringe.
This episode shows a very prolonged yet intriguing cat-and-mouse game between Mureed and Asma. She is suspicious about him, we can assume as she keeps recording him with her phone every chance she gets. She also demands to know the truth. Let it suffice to say that the girl is smarter than she looks-sweet and pretty and naive.
Mureed pretends to be the most obedient “namak haram” as he first seeks asiya’s permissions to tell Asma the truth. Not in as many words though. On the other hand, he first keeps promising Asma that he will tell her everything he knows; all she has to do is to wait.
And then he does admit that he was behind Asma’s kidnapping. Again, not in as many words. It was the subtlety and “less is more” approach that wins me over every Friday when I watch an episode of Namak Haram. This is story telling at its best, the best kind that I like. Others may have a different opinion of “best”.
Anywho, so now Asma knows. Whether she tells her parents or not, is another discussion. The important thing is that Mureed notices the phone that was hidden to record the whole darn conversation. What intrigues me more is now Mureed would react when he sees that Asma was trying to record him. I don’t think he cares, but he would surely give a long philosophical monologue for sure. I’m interested in that.
On a side note, Malaika seeks validation and social acceptance from Amin Qureshi, failing which, she goes to meet Asiya. Asiya was suspicious of this woman, and tells Amin about it. Amin has a new challenge awaiting him.
Yet again, we are now faced with a week of wait.
