Mere Humsafar Episode 33 Part 1 Written Update & Review

Sameen and Khurram are No Longer a Thing

Sameen confronts Sofia and Shah Jahan. She doesn’t want to be a puppet in their hands. She doesn’t mourn not marrying Hamza, she doesn’t even blame Haala for coming between them (Hamza and Sameen). She has gotten some sense into her. I hope the two elder women also realize what they are doing, especially Shah Jahan.

Haala Refuses to Go With Hamza

Hamza is being nice to Haala (because Shah Jahan isn’t around?). Haala, however, is too cold. Nafees and Haala’s sister Mariyam are with Haala. Haala doesn’t want to go back to her house with Hamza. She wants to go with her father. I’d say nice decision, girl!

Later, Nafees apologizes to Haala. Nice emotional scene. But ab ro kar kya fayeda, dad?

Anywho, Shah Jahan is happy that she has gotten rid of Haala, finally. Raees, however, forces Shah Jahan to visit Haala at the hospital.

The Rebel Rumi

I have said this before, and I don’t mind repeating it–Rumi is the most entertaining character of this story, one who can stand in front of her own mother. I loved how she convinced Raees to drop her to college even though Shah Jahan had grounded her. Wallah, yeh bachhi makkari mein bilkul apni maan pe gayi hai. It is quite fun to watch Hira play this role.

So, Shah Jahan chases Rumi to the college. Even though Rumi tries her hardest to cover up, her classmates reveal that Rumi wasn’t in college. Shah Jahan slaps Rumi.

 Just wow!

Rumi is heartbroken by the insult at her own mother’s hand. She still keeps in touch with Waqas. I’m shocked by this girl’s audacity to go against her mother. But I guess this is what they call makafat?

Hania Amir and Farhan Saeed are the best part of this drama, even though this story makes me roll my eyes every time. Hamza and Haala’s conversation at the hospital was so so good. Hania Amir gets 100 on 100 for her portrayal of Haala.

And she’s soooooooooooo pretty.

She makes me want to watch the next part as well.
