Introduction

Saima Akram Chaudhry and Danish Nawaz–the writer and director duo who gave us gems like Chupke Chupke (I quite liked it) and Hum Tum (it was hit-n-miss). This duo now brings us another romantic comedy Kaala Doriya.

Kaala Doriya is story of two families who despise each other. The guy and the girl, especially can’t tolerate each other. When they fall in love, all hell breaks loose. Shuja has asked Kukku to investigate about a guy for Bitto. Kukku calls to tell Bitto to not marry any other boy. Tanno doesn’t like this. So, she lies that Kukku has okayed the guy. Her lies is caught as Kukku has already spoken to Shuja. Shuja declares that he would marry off Bitto first.

Muneer has put someone to buy Shuja’s car. This man is a genius. He isn’t dealing directly. Instead, he has asked someone else.

Anywho! So the group goes for lunch while Shuja goes to the same restaurant for the car deal. Mahnoor walks out of the restaurant while Shuja learns about Muneer’s involvement. He also walks out. That whole scene summed up to nothing, except that Mahnoor is rude AF for no reason.

Shuja and Abba Miya come to talk to Muneer. When Chhutki hugs Shuja, it reminds Shuja of how Nida would hug her father. Sweet memory!

And, then after a long verbal spat, Muneer buys Shuja’s car for 30.5 lakhs instead of 28.5. Just look at Shuja’s excitement.

Things go down south afterwards. Asfi acted kaafi chichora while celebrating the new car. The next day, Mahnoor acts like an emotional queen looking at her father’s car. Hak haah!

This episode was quite annoying. But I enjoyed Sohail Sumair’s performance. He is so hilarious in his dialogue delivery. The way he says, la raha hoon Abba. And, then the senti expression… He is performer of the week.
