In Kuch Ankahi, we follow the family of Agha G and her three daughters Aliya, Tania, and Samia. His eldest daughter is Samia, while his youngest daughter is Tania. As a family caregiver, Aliya supports her father in handling his financial issues. In this dramatic story, you will find many twists and turns that will leave you amazed by what you are going to discover.

Kuch Ankahi Episode 2  Written Update and Review

This episode shows us more about Agha Ji and family. There is some kinda property dispute that Agha Ji is dealing with. He visits the court every day for years, and his siblings send legal notice every now and again. In this episode as well, he gets a notice from his younger brother Shakeel. I think Agha Ji is a simpleton (much like my father), who gives away money (much like my father) and keeps no written proof of the same (much like my father). His siblings take advantage of this (much like my father’s). This hits a nerve, obvio, and I can understand how Agha Ji feels. Superb acting by Mohammad Ahmed Saheb.

To make things worse, the lawyer isn’t sincere, either. He keeps asking for more “kharcha”. It is inevitable that the girls would want to support their father. Aliya, especially, vows to work hard and help her father repay whatever he owes to others. I like her spirit, but I might not have liked Sajal’s portrayal of it. Besides, her hairstyle just puts me off. If she is a no non-sense realtor, I think her style should have been different. She has bangs, wear jhumkas and keeps her hair loose. I would imagine a different avatar for a realtor and definitely sans jhumkas.

Anywho, Sehrish talks to her father about Azfar. Azfar is known to make bad investments, but isn’t listening to anyone, especially his father. We don’t know the background story yet, but I like Sehrish already. She pretty!

Aliya asks Salman to give her a 1% cut in Sehrish deal. I don’t know about Salman, but my reaction was: Kyu, behen? I mean, they were trying to get the same client, but Salman got it. Why should he give Aliya any part of it? Just because she needs money? I just don’t understand.

Anywho, so Salman refuses, but then later changes his mind (he’s a softy, I told you). He calls Aliya and offers 1%, but she is now planning to take revenge by ruining Salman’s deals with other clients. I wanted to break my own head. Yeh kya logic hai?

Tania has a boyfriend Ali, and they are studying filming, I think. Shammo doesn’t like Ali, unless it’s for some work. Zareena is coming again, so Shammo asks Ali to help with the cleaning. On the other hand, Aliya sees Saif Ur Rehman with a girl outside a shopping mall. Something is amiss, but Samia doesn’t want to listen. This mangni is heading towards a disaster already.

This is the second episode only, but I already have apprehensions about this drama. First of all, if you look at the description, you will notice something.

The drama discusses issues relating to women’s legal & religious right to property, harassment at workplace, pressurizing girls for marriage, etc.

Do you notice? This drama is trying to do too many things, and in doing so, it is quite possible that raita phail jaye.

My biggest grouse is the heroine-she has her heart in the right place but her actions are bullyish. And I don’t think I could endorse that. But I am sure in the end, she will be shown as the victim.

So long!
