Qarz-e-Jaan Episode 23 Written Update and Review

Recap
Asim’s house, breakfast table, they discuss Nashwa’s both proposals.
Asim’s house, Burhan tells Asim that he’s planning to propose to Nashwa.
Burhan tries to talk to Nashwa repeatedly but she’s cold and distant (loved Yumna’s acting).
Beenish goes to early labour, an opportunity for some drama and some celebratory moments. Beenish tells Burhan to fight Nashwa’s battles. I don’t think Nashwa would appreciate it. I don’t think Burhan is right for Nashwa. At first, he came across as mature, sensible guy with full control on his feelings but with each episode, he’s kinda turning into a silly, stupid youngster who knows nothing but to woo the girl he likes. His monologue towards the end of the episode on how he wants to now Nashwa better was so lame. I felt the delivery was flat and rushed and failed to evoke any emotions in me (or Nashwa, from the looks of it).
Burhan is still observant, though.
Ammaar: kaisa lagta hoon main
Burhan: khud se naraaz
And that’s why Ammaar is relatable on some level. I’m not talking about his crimes. But his angst, his approval-seeking, and his confusion is relatable. Khud se naraazi is so common, isn’t it? No? Just me then.
Oh, I’m not saying that Ammaar is right for Nashwa. Maybe at the end, she would marry someone else. Wahaj ka cameo kar dete hain. Kaisa?
Review
Until episode 21, I felt that the drama was fast paced with very few fluff / filler scenes but then things have changed. The long conversation between Faryal and Burhan on why he couldn’t marry her was way too long. Faryal’s talk with her mother about Burhan’s rejection was also a bit melodramatic than realistic. And now this episode where Burhan first talks to Asim about his plan to propose to Nashwa and then head talk that went on and on and ON… I was like bas kar bhai, kitna sochega?
