So, I’m on a teaser-binge these days. The latest in the list is Dil Zar Zar.
Dil Zar Zar has me confused and uncertain. And I have my reasons, like I always do.
This is the first time Sami Khan looks any different from his goody-two-shoes too-confused guy that he has played a million times. Whether it is Zaeem in Tootay Huway Per or Buland Bakhtiyar in Bashar Momin; Faris in Toh Dil Ka Kia Hua or Zaid in Woh Mera Dil Tha, he has always played similar roles even though he is a fine actor. To see him don a new avatar is so refreshing to see. +1
Then we have Azfar Rehman and Hina Altaf completing the love-triangle; they are both soooo annoying. I’ve seen them pair up in Atish, a drama that I didn’t find worthy of review; and then a couple of telefilms. I don’t want to rant, but I think Hina Altaf can’t act.
Azfar Rehman, on the other hand, is a decent actor, but I think he is too self-aware and it shows in his roles. Plus, I’ve seen him a lot while he was hosting Miss Veet contest, so I guess I have had too much of him. He was good as Sir Zafar, a villian in Akhir Kab Takm but I don’t like to see him.
I don’t like two corners of the triangle. It will be a tough watch for me only because of them. -1
But then there is Yasir Nawaz. He is the only one who knows what he is doing. The man has not disappointed me so far. +1
What’s the overall score now? Lemme see… +1.
I will give this a five-episode try.
What do others feel about the teasers of this drama?
