Pyari Mona Episode 14 Written Update and Review
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers!
It’s me, Shabana Mukhtar, and I’m back with a recap and review of the 14th episode of “Pyari Mona”. Trust me when I say that this episode had me smiling, tearing up, and yawning all at the same time. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Mona, Kinza & Ayan
Mona and Kinza have a good time with Ayan. This long scene goes on to show that women might talk to each other and be friends without being jealous of each other. It’s so refreshing.
Mona, Irfan and the mum
The conversation between Irfan, his mother and Kinza was so funny. I loved how a saas is teaching lessons to her bahu. Saas ho toh aisi. I mean, i like the gesture but Shaheen Khan’s character is so one-tone. Saara time Mona ke peechhe mach mach karne ka.
Z & Babar
Next, Babar and Z go out for lunch. They talk about their “affair”. It was so disturbing to listen to. Kinda like psychos.
On the other hand, Khalid asks someone to keep an eye on Babar and report his activities. I’m sure he will find out about Z soon.
Babar & Mona
The first conversation between Mona and Babar after Mona’s return from Lahore was witty on the outside but deep down, it was laced with bitterness. Mona even jokes that Babar has had a date with his girlfriend. Ouch! It was a joke but so close to reality. So disturbing… It made me uncomfortable, so uncomfortable.
Mona suggest that they go out to celebrate her appointment as a marketing manager. Babar is like: chal bhag. And then, out of blue, Babar is very nice to Mona, hinting that he might be willing to accept Mona as his “wife”
But Mona is like: I don’t know how to respond to that.
Tch!
Frustrated, Babar comes to see Z. They fight a little, but that was quite expected. What shocked me more is Z’s advice. Z advises that Babar should never accept Mona because Mona would always embarrass Babar. She’s so clear in her head; she wants to be the homewrecker.
Review
The drama in this show is always on another level, but these mothers are just taking it to a whole new level of absurdity. I mean, in one scene, the married couple is arguing, and in the next, Babar is like: you’re my wife. Itna sudden transition?
As usual, Naureen Mumtaz shines in this episode as Kinza. She’s so good as clumsy, confused yet sweet wife. And the way she walks, it reminds me of my niece Hafsa. She can’t walk without staggering. She falls very frequently. I LOVE HER.
~
That’s all for now, folks. Stay tuned for my next recap and review of “Pyari Mona”. Until then, happy watching!
So long!
