Introduction
The story of #PyariMona revolves around the main lead Mona, an overachiever, strong and courageous girl who excels in everything she does but, being a plus-sized person, Mona has to face challenges, problems, provocations and taunts just because she doesn’t meet the conventional standards of beauty set by our society. The serial highlights body shamming, bullying, harassment and its social and mental implications on the victim in a society with unrealistic expectations from women and stringent standards of beauty. Pyari Mona is an unconventional and interesting story of Mona as she navigates through her life. Written by Haseeb Ahmed, directed by Ali Hassan and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, the serial also features Mashal Khan, Adnan Jafer, Muhammad Hunbal, Naureen Mumtaz, Uzma Baig, Shaheen Khan and others.

Pyari Mona Episode 15 Written Update and Review
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers!
It’s me, Shabana Mukhtar, and I’m back with a recap and review of the latest episode of “Pyari Mona”.
In this episode, we see Mona making a cake for Babar’s birthday. Babar doesn’t come home, though, as he is celebrating the birthday with Z. There is another tiff as Mona invites Shaista and Khalid for the celebration the next day. Khalid senses the slightest taunt.
What exactly is this story about? I’m confused. Babar seems torn between his marital vows and his longing for Z.
Or so it seems.
He doesn’t stop humiliating Mona for jer looks and her weight. At the same time, he expects her to act like “the perfect biwi”. On the other hand, he wants to go out with Z and talk to her when he’s upset, but he doesn’t want to make her feel special, nor does he want to be seen with her in his office. This man is so confused.
The other couple in this drama is just as confused. Despite knowing that there is nothing between Mona and Irfan, Kinza is kinda forced to go to her maika. Irfan misses his wife, to the extent that he can’t even focus on work and ends up telling his colleagues. He misses Kinza to the extent that he asks Mona to please his case to Kinza. It was heartwarming to see a husband so committed to his wife.
The episode ends as Khalid reveals the proofs he had gathered against Babar. Babar doesn’t give a damn, though.
Just as the characters of this drama, I’m confused about this drama. I’m not sure what the story is about. As much as I enjoy watching Kinza and Mona, I can’t say that I’m invested in their stories. This was only episode 15 and we are about halfway through. The drama has a long way to go. I sure hope they the coming episodes show the character taking more defined decisions, and the story becomes more coherent and precise.
So long!
