Pyari Mona Episode 16 Written Update and Review
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers!
It’s me, Shabana Mukhtar, and I’m back with a recap and review of the latest episode of “Pyari Mona”.
1. Babar gets a call from Zoya, Z’s friend, that Z has tried to commit a suicide. Babar rushes to the hospital and assures Z of his love for her.
2. Mona takes Ayaan and her parents out for dinner. This is supposedly a birthday celebration without the birthday boy (who is busy with his girlfriend). Khalid asks Mona about Babar, but Mona denies that Babar could ever have an affair.
3. The scene abruptly cuts in to show a squabble between Babar and Mona. Babar blames that Mona did not put any effort into their marriage, and that Khalid was also responsible for things not going well. And finally, he drops the bomb.
“I’m moving out. I want to marry Z,” Babar says. “I will come to see Ayaan occasionally.”
Badi meherbani aap ki, Babar sahab.
And just like that, a marriage is put into jeopardy.
I can’t stress how much I hated Babar in that scene. It’s people like him (I can’t really blame it on men, some women do this do) who conveniently put all blame on others for every shitty thing they do.
Anywho, Babar has met his match because Z isn’t the sweet person she pretends to be. I’m sure it was her who made the video viral to kinda pressurize Babar into a relationship. I don’t think Babar needed that. Ever since he got married, he was looking for a way out, and he found one in Z.
If Babar wasn’t enough, Shaista also blames everything on Mona. Seriously, is she for real? This episode was so bleh, and predictable, and annoying. I still feel a bitter taste in my mouth as I recall Babar’s words.
It wasn’t all bad. There were some good bits, too, but I saved the best for the last. As you might have guessed, the good part is when Kinza comes home. Yep, Irfan brings Kinza home. Irfan’s mother isn’t happy to see this because it didn’t go as per her plans. Later, sweet Kinza comes to talk to her mother-in-law. Their conversation was so good.
“Now go to your room, without breaking anything,” Mum-in-law says.
Now, it’s moment like this that make me want the next episode of this otherwise dull drama.
How did you find the episode?
