Tere Mere Sapnay Episode 5 Written Update and Review

This episode was good, like made me chuckle aloud a few times good. I’m not into subtelety today, so let’s dive into the best right away.

The Ode

Tabi has unintentionally let it slip that there was some kidnapping, and that the farmhouse was involved. This pushes Amal to the limits.
Amal to Tabi: Baat nahin karna mujh se, achha.
And that upsets Tabi. To win apni favourite behen and bodyguard, Tabi decides to use Amal’s favourite heroes. I was kinda hoping that he would bring a movie of Amal’s  favourite heroes, but no sire. The scene cuts to this… with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan crooning “tann jhoom jhoom, mann jhoom jhoom… And the camera pans to Tabi’s face. Bhai waah! I haven’t seen even a single clip of “Khuda aur Muhabbat” but Youtube has recommended the same to me at least a million times, so I know Tabi is being Feroz Khan here. LOVED IT. Joke 1: But wait… This wasn’t it. The next moment, we see Tabi in a cream salwar-kameez-shawl while Tere Bin‘s background music plays. And then he throws the shawl on his shoulders in typical Murtasim manner. Maa Sadqay, jo yaad aayi hai Tere Bin ki, despite my rant I linked earlier. Joke 2: Tabi tries a Murtasim pose with Gulabo and Gulabo falls. And the last punchline as Amal says: “Tumhein bhi pasand hai Murtasim”. I liked how they paid an ode to their dramas Khuda and Muhabbat and Tere Bin and Sabeena’s Haya being obsessed about Murtasim.

The Homecoming

Azlan coming home was also a nice sequence-the way Haseena made face, or Honey wanted to hug Azlan, or the way Azlan said salam to Isra and hugs her. Maasi maa jaisi hoti hai, uska beautiful portrayal on screen. Full marks.

The Drama

Izhar casually suggests Sikandar to find a job which initiates a loud drama by Sikandar recalling how Pahelwa beat him, followed by some good beating by Izhar as well. Achha thha. And that was all I can remember.

Review

I haven’t gotten time to sit and write a long writeup, but here are my two cents about the drama, especially the hero. I’ve read Samra Bukhari for a long time, since the time that I used to skip reading the titles and jumpt right into reading the story. She has always been a favourite, not just because she writes bone-tickling humour but also because her heroes ALWAYS have a knack for fixing things, shaitan jaisa dimagh hota hai unka and they have thick skins when it comes to facing unwarned insults from kaminey rishtedaar. Azlan is an embodiment of the same And I LOVE it. This is not even 10% of what I have in mind, but my arm is killing me and I can’t really type more.
