Yunhi Episode 13 Written Update & Review
Aa Mile Ho Yunhi…
Ya Phir Yunhi Aa Mile Ho…
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers! It’s time for another recap and review of the latest episode of “Yunhi”. And let me tell you, this one was the best so far. It had romance, it had drama, it had humour in abundance. What else do we want in an episode, huh?
My favourite scene
First of all, I want to talk about my favourite scene. It was between Mudassar and Firdaus. Ever since Mudassar has found out about fifty thousand dollaraan, he has been thinking of ways to get his hands on the monies, whatever little he could get. He is seriously considering Husna and Daniyal’s alliance. The first thing to do would be to ensure that the two families are on “good terms”, so he suggests doing a “dawat” of his in-laws. What better way to hit the bull’s eye, right? Firdaus isn’t amused with the idea, though.
Mudassar: Kaneez aur Dawood ki shadi ki dawat rakh lete hain.
Firdaus: Iss se pehle to kabhi dawat karne ka khayal nahin aaya aapko.
Mudassar: Iss se pehle hamari hi shadi huyi thhi. Kya hum khud hi ki dawat karte?
Even I type this, I can’t stop smiling.
Kim’s stupidity
So, the last episode had ended as Kim made a scene and blamed that Atif and Sajjad (Dawood’s friend) must have stolen her stuff. We all knew who had taken her passport etc (Naveed, because why would anyone steal a passport, right?). In this episode, Kim finds Naveed’s letter, in which he admits of taking away her stuff because he wants Kim to stay with the in-laws. Apparently, the hassles of getting a new mobile, a laptop and a new passport would deter her from moving back to America. I know, the logic is flawed.
The main issue here is the “blame”. Dawood and Dadaji call Atif and Sajjad to ask them “tactfully” about Kim’s stuff. Kim barges in, and apologizes for doubting the guys. Now, she thinks that she is the epitome of humanity, but both Dawood and Dadaji are upset about it. Why? We will get to it, shortly.
The drama
Sajjad and Atif haven’t taken this lightly. They tell their families, their families return the “mithai” that Raziya sent to them. Long story short, Raziya is mighty pissed (she would remain upset for many days to come). Dawood isn’t happy, either.
“You embarassed me and Dadaji in front of Sajjad and Atif,” he says.
“Maine toh bas sach kaha,” Kim says.
“Sometimes, it’s better to not say the truth,” Iqbal says.
This episode had several quotes that I liked, and especially this scene. The performances were so nuanced. Whether it’s Iqbal’s very subtle nod to convince Kim to apologize to Dawood, or Dawood’s understated display of anger, it was so freaking well done.
The Romance
Dawood asks Kim if she’d want to go out. She refuses, obvio.
Dawood: “I asked because you were upset.”
No, he didn’t. He asked because Dadaji asked him to, but that little lie works wonders. Kim softens to hear that he cares. And, she finally agrees to go out with him. Isn’t that sweet?
