Qarz-e-Jaan Episode 2 Written Update and Review

Nashwa asks for permission to practice law, bakhtiar refuses and Bisma doesn’t take a stand for her own daughter. Nashwa is pisssd, rightly so. Later, we see Sidra talking to Bakhtiar. She gives plenty of reasons and kinda forces Bakhtiar to give Nashwa permission to practice law. She mentions her niece Faryal who’s also working and is engaged to Ammaar. She advocates for Nashwa (haha) that the job could mean she could arrange for her own wedding. Either she’s an evil genius or she just knows how to deal with her stubborn husband and is genuinely concerned for Nashwa and Bisma. What the truth is, we will know in future episodes.
Nashwa meets her friend Sana with Beenish’s help. She was supposed to meet Sana’s boss for a job but was too disheartened that she didn’t get a permission. She sees Burhan and learns a thing it two about him. she also overhears Mr Baari’s sexist remark about women lawyers. That scene ended in Burhan getting shot as Beenish brings Nashwa home.
It’s Behza’s desth anniversary do Barkat and Bakhtiar visit their graves, the place actually belongs to another family. They claim their rights now but Barkat demands Bakhtiar to sue them. Bakhtiar wants to focus on his real estate business but caves to his mother’s orders.
There is some back story revelation as Bisma reminisces her past. Asim and Bisma liked each other, Asim wanted to send his proposal but… When Sidra was talking to Qudsiya, her sister (also Faryal’s mother), we learn that Behzad used to be sick and Bisma was unfairly married to Behzad instead of Asim (perhaps that’s the reason Asim left the country?). Anywho, Qudsiya seems like a nice person, as I’ve mentioned the cast and character post. Baqi agli qist mein.
Great performance by all, but was kinda disappointed to not see Ammaar.
