Qarz-e-Jaan Episode 27 Written Update and Review

Asim convinced Bisma that they should go and apologize to Barkat and Bakhtiar and request them for khula. Barkat humilaites then both, pushes Bisma’s hand away with disgust and walks out of the room.  If I knew how to cut a clip from Youtube, I’d have done that. That scene was so powerful.

Bisma and Nashwa: a battle of pessimism and optimism

Beenish and Sara are preparing for Nashwa’s bridal outfit. Bisma comes to talk to Nashwa. The two girls leave.
Nashwa tries her best to explain her side to her mother. In other words, she was trying to tell Bisma that things would be alright.
Bisma: Zid tum ne apni family se li hai.
Nashwa: Aur rishton ko na todna aap se seekha hai.
Bisma: Iss khandan mein kuch nahin badalta. Meri Behzad se huyi, Sidra bhabhi ki shaadi Bakhtiar bhai se, kya hua?
And then:
Nashwa: Main imandari se iss rishte mein qadam rakh rahi hoon.
And lastly:
Nashwa: Main koshish karungi ki usko samjhaun, ki wo bade abbu jaise na bane, uske bahot se chehre na hon.
And just like that, Bisma agrees.

Nashwa in Ammaar’s room

We see many flashbacks, both by Burhan and Nashwa, and that was half the episode. Thank goodness, they didn’t show us the wedding festivities. The next scene is Nashwa in Ammaar’s room, alongwith Beenish and Sara.

Beenish and Sara talk while Nashwa is gumm in her khayals. She says she’s hungry and the two friends leave her alone to get some food, NEVER TO RETURN. Nashwa tidies up the room while thinking of Burhan. I don’t like that. Imaandari se iss rishte main aayi ho behen, ghair mard ka sochna band karo.

Ammaar and Nashwa (The best scene of episode 27)

Sidra comes to see Ammaar, who’s out, sitting alone, wearing black (as usual) and fidgeting (as usual).

Sidra tries to talk to her stubborn son, knock some sense into his head, while he’s adamant and reluctant.

Sidra: Nikaah se sab badal jata hai. Dekhna, tum donom bhi bahot khush rahoge.

Ammaar: Really? Maine aapki aur papa ki shaadi mein toh aisa kuch nahin dekha.

Sidra is hurt, but still hopeful, hopeful that this cousin marriage works, even if hers to Bakhtiar and Bisma’s to Behzad didn’t work.

And Nameer Khan gives one of his finest performance with the painful expression in his eyes.

Before going back to his room, he kisses his mother’s forehead. I guess there’s hope for this boy after all?

Or not.

Because he starts to bicker with Nashwa the moment he enters his room.

And now we wait for the next episode to see how honest Nashwa is to this marriage.
