Zanjeerain Episode 3 Written Update and Review
The Brothers
Sohrab thinks that the attack was from Torsam (and not Zafran). Sherdil says, “dushmani nibhani humein bhi aati hai.”
In the meantime, Torsam comes to talk to Sherdil. He comes to ask for something.
Torsam: “dariya ke paas wali zameen mujhe de dein.”
Torsam looks genuinely shocked by Sherdil’s allegation: that Torsam was involved in the attack and helped Zafran Khan. Sherdil takes the matter from zero to hundred, insulting Torsam.
They are willing to kill each other but Sar Buland intervenes. Strangely, Torsam listens to Sar Buland.

I have to say, whether I’m reading a novel or watching a drama, any person being referred to as “Lala”… even if they are villain, I like them. Or… maybe… I just like the sound of “Lala”.
Exposition via dialogues: Zafran Khan is Torsam’s Mamu. Zafran Khan killed Sohrab’s mother. Also, Torsam did something cowardly in the past, “bachne ke liye behen ko aage kar diya.” Not much detail revealed about this last line. Intrigued? You bet.
Torsam’s Side
I liked that Sar Buland meets Torsam after the scuffle. Torsam also speaks to him nicely. At least these two are acting “brotherly”.
Torsam’s bachpan ka dost Zumarth suggests going back to their “gaon” so they will have a sardar like Zafran Khan on their back. But Torsam doesn’t want to leave his life behind. Later, during dinner, Torsam suggests that they will go to “Bara Galli” to ask for Rabiya’s hand in marriage. That’d be interesting.
Fluff
Bano and Sar Buland meet first, discuss their dreams, Sar Buland’s plans for doing masters in USA. He promises to convince the family for Bano’s master as well.
Saad, Jawad and Mudassir are going back. Some chit chat between them. Sar Buland extends an open invite to come back any time, whether he’s there or in USA. As the title suggests, fluff.
Dinner Time
The family meets for dinner. Bibi Jaan had invted even Torsam, which Sherdil and Sohrab don’t like. Sherdil couldn’t eat much. Magul looks worried, Bibi Jaan insists but Sherdil stops eating.
Later, when they are having desert outside, Sar Buland brings up the topic for Bano’s masters. There’s opposition, strong one, but finally Bibi Jaan relents.
Much later, when they are having qahwa, Sohrab and Sherdil plan to visit the mine, but Magul interrupts, reminding about the doctor’s visit. She talks about Sherdil’s health scares. The brothers all plan to prioritize the doctor’s visit over everything.
Scary Time
After meeting Sar Buland, Bano is going home. She hears voices again, turns to look back, and the episode ends on her face. My heart stops momentarily in such scenes.
Review
In the brothers’ scene, all three look like real brothers. Ahsan Khan’s performance while delivering dialogues loudly stood out like a sore thumb. Even Torsam’s voice changed. It seemed like a dubbing issue? Achanak zor se, achanak ekdum weak awaaz.
And second of all, this drama has stunning visuals. My pick from this episode are these two:

Salaam!
