Bas Tera Saath Ho Episode 2 Written Update and Review

Okay, so Ambreen is in camp Anas, at least from the opening scene of this episode. Ambreen calls Shaziya who’s asleep, to ask about Anas, that Anas’ phone is off. Shaziya is mad AF to be woken up for Anas.

I didn’t mention it in the last episode, but dada ji has a habit of muttering to himself, things nobody will listen to, things he can’t say to others. In this episode, he’s showing his disappointment with Shereen.

Suleman and Ambreen, both mean well, but somehow, whatever they do end up hurting Anas. This is the chain of events. Anas couldn’t get scholarship because he was doing “drivery” for Mursaleen and couldn’t get enough credit. Ambreen calls Mursaleen to admonish about this “drivery” business. Mursaleen learns about the results, and questions Shayan. Shayan, being the entitled a-hole that he is, goes to beat up Anas. Dada tries to meddle and ends up slapping Shayan. Shayan still tries to manhandle Anas, twice, in front of everyone. Things get out of hand, Shayan leaves the house and Anas is blamed for everything.

Hence proved, Ambreen and Suleman may mean well, but their actions are still harming Anas.

We see a flashback of Ansa’s father, why he distributed property equally between Ansa and her brother (this argument they beti ka ek hissa hota hai, bete ka do, is not valid if the distribution is done when the parents are alive. Unki zindagi mein they can do whatever they want. But Ansa’s father had a very strong reason.)

Ansa’s friend has arranged for Ansa’s fee. They spot Anas studying during break and think that he must be celebrating. Little does Ansa know that Anas’ hardships are much worse than Ansa’s.

By the way, this name combination for main characters is so confusing.

Shayan is not willing to come home, typical shitty lines like “I got slapped because of Anas”. While driving, he hits a guy. Crowd gathers, Shayan runs and comes back home, leaving the car behind. The police (Amir) calls Mursaleen and informs of trh situation. Mursaleen doesn’t even hesitate and says “my nephew was driving”.

Long story short, police comes to arrest Anas, the whole class who was in cafeteria for toppers treat, vouches for Anas. Even Anas refuses to go to the police station… Until that phone call. Mursaleen says, “do what the police says. I’m here. I’ll manage.”

Anas slumps on the chair, knowing what it means. He sips water perhaps to gather some courage for what awaits for him at the police station. The class watches in shock as police takes Anas away.

I’m not watching this drama. It’s not good for my me tal health. Real life is shitty as it is.

Today, I got a message from my clueless manager saying “Sr leadership has noted that you miss evening calls”. I missed two, on Fridays, one was my sick day and one was a national holiday.

Question: How do I respond to this a-hole manager and a-hole Sr leadership?

Answer: I can’t. Sr leadership has the privilege of making such bold, baseless accusatory remarks. They are not interested in answers, they have no data. Just feel like saying something, and they say it. FYTP.
