Bas Tera Saath Ho is a story of resilience born from loss, where a young boy’s world shatters far too soon. After losing his parents in a tragic accident, Anas finds himself in a home that offers shelter, but not warmth.

Before We Begin
I had no plans of watching this drama as mentioned here: Bas Tera Saath Ho | First Impression, but then… I watched Sirf Shabana Episode 12, and this one was suggested next. I had a coughing fit, knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Monday drama Sirf Shabana isn’t working so well for the blog stats, so I thought of giving this a chance.
Cast and Characters
Roughly in the order of appearance
Farhan Saeed as Anas Mujtaba
MMC, dukhiya, yateem, yaseer, takes care of his dada, does house work like a mulazim, and has to listen to shitty things all day long. ALL.DAY.LONG.
Doesn’t react much, has a tendency to stammer when emotionally overwhelmed.
Not only does his chacha and family insult him, but also constantly remind him that he will not get a dime from Suleman’s properties.

Salman Shahid as Suleman
Ailing dada who thinks suggesting a marriage between Anas and Shehreen would help Anas’ life.

Faran Tahir as Mursaleen Suleman
Anas ka chacha, blindly loves his kids and just as passionately hates Anas. Is he the same guy playing Kinza Hashmi’s father in Leader? (I’m thinking of binging that drama). Also, he looks like the villain from Iron Man, the first movie.
P.S. Just checked, he really is the same guy. Mind is blown. American log bhi aate hain Pakistani dramas mein.

Saba Hameed as Shaziya Mursaleen
Mursaleen’s wife. Has the same goal in life as her husband:
- Insult Anas
- Don’t give him the share in Dada’s property
- Make Anas’s life a living hell

Haris Waheed as Shayan Mursaleen
Mursaleen’s bigda hua beta, has the same goal as his parents, read above; just his style is different. I have things to say about Haris Waheed and spoiled brat.

Zoya Nasir as Shehreen/Shireen/Shareen Mursaleen
Mursaleen’s bigdi huyi entitled beti, has the same goal as his parents, read above. Her style is more like “mithi chhuri”. She’s more upset with Anas because Suleman suggested a nikaah between Anas and Shehreen.
I didn’t catch her name properly. Sab alag hi kuch keh rahe thhe. I’m sticking to Shehreen.
I’ve things to say about Zoya, hoping to post soon.

Mujtaba Suleman
Anas’s father
Ambreen Suleman
Mentioned in passing as the co-heir to Suleman’s jayedad alongside Mursaleen, yet to make appearance.
Sana Javed as Ansa
She has the same predicament as Anas: not getting her share in the property, but she stands up for her rights. Same predicament and different temperament: I like this contrast.

Tipu Sharif
Ansa’s brother

Aliya Ali as Abeda
Ansa’s bhabhi

Sonia
Shehreen’s friend, but not toxic, kinda has a torch for Anas.

Sheena
Sonia’s sister, presumably, haven’t seen her, just mentioned during conversation.
Sabrina Naqvi as ???
Ansa’s friend

Rizwan Ali Jaffri
yet to make appearance.
Shagufta Ejaz
I’m guessing she’ll be Ambreen, but can’t say for sure.
Syed Mohammed Ahmed
yet to make appearance.
Hammad Sheikh Kashmiri
yet to make appearance.
