Missing Darling Episode 7 Written Update and Review
Okay, so this episode begins with another clue: “There’s Naina’s deadbody in one of Hawksbay huts.”
So, the police raids the place.
Sikandar Khan is sitting there, with a pistol in his hand. There’s a sar-kati laash next to him, but he has no idea who that is, or how it got here, or how he got upstairs because he was still downstairs when he passed out. He talks about staying in touch with Naina (he’s the only one calling her Naina, by the way; everyone else calls her Darling) even news of her alleged disappearance. And then….
Once at the police station, at first Sikandar Khan refuses to talk, demands for a lawyer, but then he opens up. Even though his story is unbelievable, I believed him. Police doesn’t believe Sikandar, obviously. His statement does sound like a fictional story.
Whoever is behind this, knows everything too well. Sikandar Khan was in Dubai, he had recently bought a hut, he planned to meet Naina there… Who knew about this? Except Naina? And perhaps Sikandar’s wife?
What I seriously doubt is if it is indeed Naina’s deadbody. Naina’s sister identified the dead body, especially with the til on her foot. But if someone has meticulously planned for all of this (perhaps Naina herself), she’d make sure that the dead body has the same identification mark? Did the police run DNA test on the deadbody? I can’t remember. I may have to watch the episode again, dammit.
This is the theory I believe in. The other theory which is possible but I don’t like it much, is that Sikandar Khan’s wife (presumably played by Nausheen Shah) is behind all this.
Am I right? We’ll have to wait for the next episode for that.
