Aik Mohabbat Aur | Episode 3

About Aik Mohabbat Aur

Aik Mohabbat Aur is a story of Khushbakht, a strong and determined ACP officer who has already seen the painful side of love. After a love marriage that couldn’t survive the test of time, she returns to her parents home with her young daughter and the scars of a broken relationship. Instead of comfort, she finds herself living under constant judgment, where her presence is often seen as a burden rather than a daughter seeking support. These experiences slowly make her lose faith in love and companionship.

On the other side is Haroon, A principled journalist who believes in truth and depth rather than superficial choices. Pressured by his mother to settle down, He struggles to find someone who truly connects with his heart and values. His life takes an unexpected turn when a case brings him face to face with ACP Khushbakht.

While working around the same investigation, Haroon is drawn to Khushbakht’s courage, dignity and the silent strength with which she carries her past. For Haroon, it becomes love but for Khushbakht, love is a chapter she believes has already ended. Now begins Haroon’s emotional journey to break the walls around Khushbakht’s heart and prove that sometimes life gives a second chance.

Aik Mohabbat Aur Episode 3 Written Recap and Review

Okay, so Haroon Malik meets Khushbakht Naaz for coffee, and he apologized for showing Khushi’s statement out of context. Yes, we’re calling FMC Khushi the way her parents do because typing Khushbakht takes a lot of time and multiple attempts. He makes her pay for the coffee but also makes her think that she could be instrumental in becoming a role model for young girls. All this while, I was thinking, how little coffee is in those mugs that even top-ish angle doesn’t show any brown liquid?

Khushi talks to Uzma, and learns rhe shitty things Uzma has to listen from colleague Dilawar (and that Uzma’s father was also a street vendor).

And then she settles the matter with Dilawar. I liked how the scene was layered: Khushi was talking to Dilawar, and then a woman (who clearly suffers domestic abuse) comes to get her husband freed, which reminds Khushi of the domestic she herself endured, and also hints at police’s involvement in drug paddling.

Long story short, she agrees to have an interview with Haroon Malik, to bring about a change. But once she’s in his office, she begins to regret her decision. Haroon Malik seems absolutely smitten by Khushi; kinda abrupt. He doesn’t even know her well and is all dreamy-eyed when he sees her…

By the way, Khushi’s mother seems quite passively toxic to me. Also, Khushi knows an awful lot more about Haseeb than Seema. Haseeb and Seema as a couple are trouble.

Where are they staying by the way?

Parting Thought

Seeing Haroon in this two seater reminded me of Ali Imran (not that Haroon is even remotely in the same adoration league). Ali Imran would loving say about his two seater: 2 gallon mein pachas miles nikal leti hai”

As I said before, I don’t have high hopes from this. I’m setting it up for 5 episodes, MAX.

Previous episode: Episode 1
