Aik Mohabbat Aur | Episode 5

About Aik Mohabbat Aur

Aik Mohabbat Aur is a story of Khushbakht, a strong and determined ACP officer who has already seen the painful side of love. After a love marriage that couldn’t survive the test of time, she returns to her parents home with her young daughter and the scars of a broken relationship. Instead of comfort, she finds herself living under constant judgment, where her presence is often seen as a burden rather than a daughter seeking support. These experiences slowly make her lose faith in love and companionship.

On the other side is Haroon, A principled journalist who believes in truth and depth rather than superficial choices. Pressured by his mother to settle down, He struggles to find someone who truly connects with his heart and values. His life takes an unexpected turn when a case brings him face to face with ACP Khushbakht.

While working around the same investigation, Haroon is drawn to Khushbakht’s courage, dignity and the silent strength with which she carries her past. For Haroon, it becomes love but for Khushbakht, love is a chapter she believes has already ended. Now begins Haroon’s emotional journey to break the walls around Khushbakht’s heart and prove that sometimes life gives a second chance.

Aik Mohabbat Aur Episode 5 Written Recap and Review

Salam!

Until like an hour ago, I had forgotten the new drama Aik Mohabbat Aur, also needs to be watched and reviewed.

Haseeb calls Khushi for chitchat. Khushi puts him in his place for not calling Seema but her. It makes me think: is Haseeb carrying a torch for Khushi? Yikes! That would be ugly. I liked how Khushi disconnected the call without listening to Haseeb’s explanation. Sometimes, cutting off immediately is exactly what is needed. Maya Ali spot-on for that chida hua expression on her face.

I did the mistake of not fast-forwarding the scene quick enough and I ended up watching Qudsiya Ali doing her rebel thing (talking back to a very nice and kind mother-in-law who was only being the sweetest) and it made my blood pressure just shoot. I am mad at Maham, I’m mad at Qudsiya and I’m mad at myself for not being quick enough. It was quite bad so I pauses the episode for some breathing exercises.

The next scene was Nabeel talking to channel owner. Now, here’s the eating-and-talking scene done right: Omair is eating, and talking with food in his mouth but he’s careful to not be a pig. So unlike what Ahad Raza Mir is doing, or what Haris Waheed did in that rondu drama Bas Tera Saath Ho. Khana khate waqt agar bolne ki naubat aa hi jaye to khana ek side mein daba kar bolne ka na, kya khana zabaan par rakh kar janwaroN jaise munh aur awaz banane ka.

Haroon meets Khushi but she gives him no bhao and honestly not much time.

There is wedding anniversary where we see the ugly side of Faris’ behaviour. That was shocking to say the least. Haroon witnesses this interaction. Is he going to do something about it? By the way, what Faris did to Maham doesn’t give Maham the right to say shitty things to others. Period.

Khushi’s boss calls for another reprimand meeting and asks to tell Haroon to edit the footage before it goes on air. And then when she goes to talk to him, she overhears how Haroon defended a woman and her position in the society. She apologizes to Haroon for misjudging, and he rubs it in her face. The last part, in my opinion, was unnecessary. Baqi was okay.

This review completes the five-episode test and I think we have enough to go on. Even though Maham and Faris and Khushi’s mother are unbearable characters and Ahad is overacting most of the time, I think I can watch for Maya Ali and Omair Rana. And story also seems okay so far.
