PS: I’m not happy with the screenshot but it was the best I could do. I haven’t brought my headphones here (I’m in Pune) and can’t watch the usual way (on my android phone) so had to watch on laptop and it wasn’t behaving nicely.
A new drama by Umera Ahmed. That’s all I want to say.
Writer: Umera Ahmed
Directed by: Saqib Khan

Why This Drama?
I saw Umera Ahmed and I was sold. I will tolerate Durre. I don’t know why I don’t like her. She’s pretty, and can act decently but when I see her face, I don’t think: there’s not a thing that I would change coz you are amazing just the way you are. I feel like punching her face, it’s a disease from childhood.
Again, no fault of hers. I loved her when I saw her for the first time in Dilruba as Iram Jameel, Hania’s older sister.
Cast and Characters
Roughly in the order of appearance (loved the montage of Zaryab and Zamil and how accurately it depicts the elite class and relationships)
Nameer Nawaz Khan as Zamil Hussain
Thoda psycho rich guy, obsessed with theater? I had a problem with Nameer’s diction in the monologue.
Durefishan Saleem as Zaryab Habib
FMC, engaged to Zamil, obsessed with Zamil. Durre is the probable reason if I stop watching this drama.
Saba Hamid as Kishwar Jahan
Zaryab’s daadi, loved her too much but doesn’t mean she wouldn’t object to Zaryab’s rebel manners
Faran Tahir as Habib
Zaryab’s father. Yes, he’s playing Saba Hamid’s son here whereas the duo is playing a couple in Bas Tera Saath Ho which is still on-air. STILL ON-AIR. WAIT FOR A FEW MONTHS/YEARS BEFORE COMMITTING SUCH CASTING DISASTERS.
Naveen Naqvi as Shamsa
Zaryab’s mother, hates her saas with all her might.
Tara Mehmood
Zamil’s mother
Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui as Abu Bakar
A thoughtful son, a guy who likes reciting Quran. I liked that they included a long tilawat. It reminded me of Jannat Jahan
Sania Saeed as Khushbakht
Mehmood Aslam
Abu Bakar’s marhoom father
Dania Enwar as Faryal
Zaryab’s older sister, she’s getting married soon.
Nooray Zeeshan
Zaryab’s younger sister
Nadia Afgan (Yet to make appearance as of episode 1)
Sahar Hashmi as Bella (Yet to make appearance as of episode 1)
A key supporting character shaping the central conflict.
Romaisa Khan as Hamna (Yet to make appearance as of episode 1)
One of the corners of relationship polygon
Adnan Jaffar as Hussain (Yet to make appearance as of episode 1)
Zamil’s father
