Introduction
Pehli Barish is a story of love that spans generations, a tale of joy, longing, and heartbreak that seems to repeat itself.
Years ago in Lahore, strangers Behzad and Maleeha met and a spark of love lit between them. But fate had other plans and tore them apart, leaving hearts scarred.
Decades later, Behzad lives a settled life with a family, yet the past never truly leaves him. His son, Maani, falls for Nimra and the shadows of old heartbreak loom large. As Behzad watches history threatening to repeat itself, he must face his own past to protect Maani and perhaps confront the love he lost long ago.
Will Maleeha return to Behzad’s life? Will Behzad save his son from the same heartbreak he experienced? Can Maani and Nimra’s love win against all odds?

Pehli Barish Episode 26 Written Update and Review
Very nice episode, and a lot of things happened.
- I liked that Sania stopped by to see Nimra and Maleeha. She didn’t mention anything bitter from the past, celebrated Nimra’s success and promised to come back with Aaquib, her husband. It looks to me that her worries, bitterness and selfishness stemmed from the fear of losing Aaquib. Now that she’s married, she has gotten confident. The confidence also shows when she tells Hashir and Naveeda to congratulate Nimra on her success and not push her away with ugly attitude. Sudden, but likable change.
- Maani and family go out to celebrate his good results. Behzad isn’t too happy that Dania is tagging alone, but he’s a nice fellow so he puts up a polite facade, he knows how to deal with people around. I like that Maani is wholeheartedly trying to make Dania feel at home. Like father, like son.
- Another thing that Behzad and Maani share is “clarity”. Behzad has suffered enough, and so has Maani, at least in the mother department. They are both clear who they want, and who they DON’T want. Behzad doesn’t hesitate from telling to Zehra’s face: you’ve caused me most pain. At one point, he says: Mazhab aur Mohabbat main munafiqat ki gunjaish nahin hoti. Loved it.
- One thing that I don’t like, which is by-design of course, is the misunderstanding Dania has in her mind: that she’d remarry Behzad. Zehra and Nawal, of course support Dania; Ruby and Hamza think it’s ridiculous. As for Behzad and Maani, they both know what they want, but Dania misinterprets this. She’s up for a major heartbreak (or drama). Knowing her, she’d create a fuss than handle it gracefully.
- Maleeha’s sick, and she doesn’t tell anyone about her health, not even Nimra. I don’t like this bit; not in fiction, not IRL. If you’re sick, you tell someone. Don’t announce it to the world on instagram, just tell your family.
I had more thoughts when I was watching but it’s been 13 hours since then, and I may have forgotten a few notes.
