Z’s Confrontation with Family

Zamil takes his wife to “someplace else”, Nafeesa and Hussain argue with each other while Zaryab constantly tries to get in touch with Zamil. Tired, Zaryab calls Nafeesa.

After a moving shot which made me feel dizzy. Taufeeq and his wife is at the hospital.

Zaryab is in Pakistan, and wants to see Zamil only. Habib is rightly upset and doesn’t want Zaryab to even think about Zamil. Waise bhi Zamil is not at his parents’ house, right?

Zaryab doesn’t talk much, but agrees to sleep in Dado’s room.

The one scene with Habib just sulking alone with a teardrop down his cheek was very powerful, all thanks to Farhan Tahir.

Habib has some intuition, I guess, and knows that Zaryab was playing with fire. And that he didn’t do a good job of raising his daughter, sahi ghalat ki tameez nahin sikhayi. I wonder if Shamsa knows.

Anxious and restless Zaryab meets Arham, slaps him and blames him for everything that Zamil did. Arham takes it like a man, calmly, not losing his patience. But then he tells the truth, and he can’t convince Zamil to talk to Zaryab.

And then when Zaryab meets Zamil, she’s… crazy. The conversation that transpires is just…painful to listen and watch.

Zamil is not being a good muslim, for sure. He thinks he’s past his J-days. Little does he know J-days are never over. Zamil also thinks that nobody has seen his wife.

Now, the question is, Zaryab sudhregi? Ya abhi bhi waise hi chalegi jaise ki pehle thhi?
