The sixth crochet project this winter is a new one. First up, this gorgeous yarn is a recent purchase. I got it in October 2022 and waited until last week to start a new project.

I had seen several patterns for this yarn, but my mom suggested something that struck me.

“Mostly patterns looks best in solid colour yarn. Variegated yarns are best suited for simple patterns like all double crochet or single crochet.”

Alright, then. Let’s do a simple double crochet project.

I started with a chain of 160 centimeters.

And then did a dc row across.

And another, and another.

After 4 solid rows, I switched to a V-stitch. At the end of first ball of yarn, this is what I have.

 

And, I have 6 more balls, but I didn’t bring it to Pune. I guess I will continue when I go home for year-end vacation.
