Neem Episode 5 Written Update and Review
Alrighty, I’m back with Neem’s review.
First up, we see Shazil and his family coming to set the date for the wedding. Zimal wants a simple marriage. And Shazil is like:
Whatever you say, bae, all I want is to get married.
Hehe. Shahrukh is okay with a simple wedding but Mrs Shahrukh is not. Long story short, the date is fixed. Zimal steps out of the house, and Shazil conveniently follows her.
Awnnn…
Isn’t that sweet?
The two stand next to each other and talk about their aspirations in life. That scene was so romantic and so sweet. Arasalan and Mawra, both looks great together.
~
However, Shazil isn’t as sweet as he seems. After the dates are finalized, he makes it a point to go and meet Karamat. With a straight face, and with as much calm as he could muster, he breaks the news to Karamat.
“Zimal aur meri shaadi ki tareekh tai ho gayi hai,” Shazil says
Aha, so Shazil knows about Karamat’s proposal for Zimal. Zimal must have told him. Bahut yaaraana lagta hai…
Aur phir Shazil ne jo bhigo bhigo ke Karamat ko sunayi hain, soch hai aapki.
“Aaj kal logon ka koi dharam iimaan nahin raha. Jo hifazat karne ki zimmedar hote hain, woh khud hi ghaat laga kar baith jate hain, blah blah blah…”
He keeps talking with a sly smile while Karamat simple listens (and fumes).
Loved this scene.

Karamat cannot accept defeat so easily, can he?
So, he comes to yell at Mehmood for not telling him. Zimal has had enough by this time. In the previous episode, she suggested keeping quiet to deal with the “situation”, but now, she barges into the room and tells Karamat to, you know, mind his business. She is still perfectly respectful, and talks in a low voice with her gaze lowered. But, it is her tone that conveys more than her words.
Mehmood is like:
O teri! yeh toh behen ne kamal kar diya!
And Karamat, well, he can’t believe his ears. He’s like:
Sachhi? Are you talking to me like that?
Zimal may have spoken her mind, but she is upset that things had to come to this. She is so relieved when Karamat leaves.
~
Arshad has watched Zimal and Shazil talking to each other. He knows that Zimal likes Shazil. So, like the “good boy” that he is, he decides to step away. Not just step away, he wants to go out of the town, out of the country to a place where Zimal’s memories wouldn’t haunt him (You wish, bro!).
His mother understands his pain, and we see a tender moment between them.
Now, we wait for the next week for the next episode.
That’s my take on latest episode of Neem. How did others feel about it?
