Our Reunion Drama — The First Show I’m Watching Again

Drumroll please…

Meri Zindagi Hai Tu!

Because, for the past couple of months, there’s been one YT short consistent in my feed, Meri Zindagi Hai Tu… I like Bilal, and I love Hania, even though I feel a bit saturated about her presence online. Their pair looks great together, and it has been thrust in my face so often, that I have to relent.

Interestingly, I have abandoned both dramas that starred Bilal Abbas: Kuch Ankahi after 11 episodes (because I couldn’t tolerate Sajal) was  Ishq Murshid  after 9 episodes (because I couldn’t tolerate Durre); and also ditched Hania’s Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa after 5 episodes (because I had a terrific idea for a novel and wanted to pursue it. I didn’t write novel, and I didn’t watch the drama.

Na Khuda Hi Mila Na Wisal-e-Sanam

Yeh shayad aise hi mauqoN ke liye kaha gaya hai.

Let this be the first thing I watch after Qarz-e-Jaan, that’s the one I watched completely and then abandoned three others.

Funny thing about Meri Zindagi Hai Tu

I had drafted a few posts, y’know, add the poster, put a template in place so I can start reviewing without much cookie-cutter stuff. I searched for Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, so I can focus on only these posts. And I found an old draft dated October 2021.

So, it turns out, there are two dramas with the same title. I had probably started watching it, or watched it but have no recollection, and left it midway.

I digrses.

So, we’re watching Meri Zindagi Hai Tu starring Bilal Abbas and Hania Amir. It already has 18 episodes out. In the next few hours, the post to list all cast members with the characters they play, and episode-wise reviews will be available on this blog. Hopefully, we will be all caught up for episode 19.

Stay tuned for more. If there is some really awesome drama that you’d like me to watch, please do recommend. If you live in my city, drop by some time. We’ll discuss dramas and books over a cup of tea.

An awful drama you chose to watch. I do not like bilal and hania anyway. Nothing is good these days. All of them a drag. I started watching kafeel since unera ahmed was writing the script but that too turned out to be goner. Instead of watching new ones i go back and watch the old. Like kankar daam etc

    1. Oh, so much to unpack there.
      1. Dramas drag these days-that’s exactly why I had stopped watching.
      2. I agree, MZHT might not have been a great choice, but it’s proving good for traffic on my blog, hehe. For now, just keeping an open mind and watching episodes as they come.
      3. Muamma is one I’ve liked so far. Very intriguing story.
      4. Sorry to hear that about Kafeel. It was my first choice because of Sanam but even in the few clips I watched Emmad itna chillaya na that I parked it aside. Yesterday only I watched a short mentioning Umera’s dramas and came to know that Kafeel is hers. I was like, maybe I should give it a try. But then, the next clip showed that Zeba has 4 grown up kids now. If she hadn’t walked out of that toxic marriage, I’m not sure I’m interested in it.
      5. You’re right, going back to old ones is a safe choice. I was thinking of Daam the other day: Sanam, Aamina, Sanam and Adeel, what a great story and a great cast.
      6. Have you watched Cast No. 9? Seemed intriguing but was never in my radar. Don’t want to start it because already watchign Saba Qamar’s muamma, don’t want to overdose. It’s a thing with me these days.

By the looks of it case 9 looks like crime drama. I dont enjoy crime unless written by David Baldaccci or John Grisham.

        1. Interesting… I’ve read some books by John Grisham, and have 4 on my bookshelf from David Baldacci but haven’t read (too large, I prefer mass paperback size).

          One Summer
          Stone Cold
          Divine Justice
          Game Hour

Have you read any of these? If so, which one should I begin with?

I am partial to the King and Maxwell series followed by one summer. The camel club series I have read it 12 years back can’t remember much of it.
U can try Rhys Bowen too for some light reading. Good stuff. Her Royal spyness as well as Molly Murphy series are equally famous. Her latest standalone book MRS. ENDICOTT’S SPLENDID ADVENTURE too was a nice one. Sorry I have given more recos than I intended to, just couldn’t resist.

          2. Recos noted, and much appreciated. I’ve downloaded MRS. ENDICOTT’S SPLENDID ADVENTURE. And now I need to get to the back of my bookshelf and get David Baldacci’s books to the front.
