Roundup | September 2025

Monthly Recap Banner

Intro

I’m committed to doing roundup, even if I have to write a backdated post. Here goes for August. It was dull in terms of book reads. This one is actually published on November 1, 2025.

September 2025 Reading Roundup

So, haven’t read a ton this month. Work is hectic and stressful these days and the personal time I get, I try to spend with my mother. That’s more important than reading every book on the three bookshelves in my house.

I started the month on a spiritual note with Durr E Yatim ﷺ by Mahir Ul Qadri but haven’t finished it. I need time to absorb when reading seerat-e-nabawi.

Next, for the one day trip to Pune, I packed A Breath Of Fresh Air by Erica James. It was an easy read which was such a pleasant surprise. Some books read very slow and a bit difficult. Not this one, detailed review yet to be published.

Oh, there was one book that I started on the night of August 31, 2025 so I’m technically counting it for September, 2025: Labels and Other Stories by Louis de Bernières. It’s a collection of fourteen short stories, of which I’ve finished four. Ten to go.

I’m still hoping to finish the books I started earlier this year.

  • Delusions of Grandma by Carrie Fisher
  • Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

So, what was your September like?

Stay tuned for more book reviews.

Until next time, happy reading!
