As usual, I’m participating in NaNoWriMo 2022.
It is going to be a contemporary socio-romance novel. This novel is special, and I will tell you why.
- This would be my first story six months. I haven’t gotten time to write anything all this while. There have been a million ideads and hundreds of drafts, but nothing reached the “complete stage”.
- I have thought of giving up writing fiction because it’s frowned upon in Islam. After a lot of research, though, I have learned that fiction must have some elements for it to be permissible in Islam. This would be my first attempt at doing that.
- My NaNoWriMo projects have always been in English. This would be the first time I will attempt to finish a novel in Urdu.
I’m so excited!!!
I don’t have much preparation done for this one, except key themes and one-liner description of few scenes that I would like to include. It’s barely 2000 words. I think it makes for a good NaNoWriMo project. Would I be able to reach 50K mark? We will know in a month.
