NaNoWriMo 2023 | Day T-1

Big surprise!

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo 2023.

This is my 6th year doing a NaNoWriMo. And, except for 2019 when I missed a little over a thousand words, I’ve finished 50000 words every single time. That’s what NaNoWriMo helps you do.

With AI tools available to “unstuck” the writers, I think this year’s NaNoWriMo would be much easier.

For me, this is going to be a series of romance novellas instead of a novel. I am doing that because I’ve juggled with a lot of ideas the whole of October and didn’t get much time to write. I’d like to finish at least two of those ideas. These ideas are refined in my head without any outline on paper. All I need to do is to sit down and churn those words out.

This year, I’ve completed a couple of projects and that gives me hope that this year’s NaNoWriMo would go smoothly, and I’d be able to win all the badges (that’s the hope). Both novellas I’ve planned are going to be a contemporary socio-romance novel. As last year, my attempt would be to write a novel keeping Islamic boundaries in mind.

I’m so excited!!!

I have some preparation done for both, with key themes and a few chapter outlines. I also have a note of few scenes that I would like to include. Both outlines stand around 5000 words. I think both of these ideas together would makes for a good for NaNoWriMo project. Would I be able to reach 50K mark? We will know in a month.

Who all are participating?
