Drama Review | Yeh Raha Dil | Episode 1

“Start your story right in the middle of drama or action.” That’s one writing advice we get from editors. And this drama does a fine job of putting us right in the middle of the drama.

Toofani barish ki raat thhi as Zaki confronts his parents about his promise to his loved one. They don’t agree, so he steps out in the rain.

Argh! Emotional blackmail… Despite my disapproval for Haroon’s flat refusal to accept Nida, I agree with him. Nida is annoying AF.

Then we meet Hayat who is trying hard to revive her laptop.  She calls Salman to seek help. Achha friend hai.

Hayat bumps Salman’s car into Zaki’s car, but she doesn’t pay for the damage as she promised. Ladki chalak hai. And she’s a writer… #relatable

And that celebrates her birthday alone…

Salman is shady, and he has also not paid car installments. Is he Hayat’s brother or friend?

I like the first episode, but I feel the humour is forced.

Off to watch the next episode.
