Drama Review | Aye Musht-e-Khak | 3 reasons to watch the drama

Introduction

Aye Musht-e-Khaak narrates a riveting tale of the longstanding fight between good and evil. As two completely different individuals with opposing approaches towards life comes together and the way the path of righteousness overpowers the wrongdoings. Mustajab is a charming young man who has a rational outlook towards life and believes in planning. His lack of belief in fate and his go-getter attitude makes him distinctive from those around him. On the other hand, Dua is a kind-hearted girl who has a firm belief in fate and predestination. Her strong values and morals make her confident and steadfast in her life decisions. Things take a surprising turn in Mustajab and Dua’s life when Mustajab falls in love with Dua however Dua refuses to reciprocate the same feelings. Mustajab who is not accustomed to refusal becomes agitated and his liking towards Dua soon turns into obsession. Mustajab forgets to distinguish between love and stubbornness while a series of lies and deceit continues. Despite Mustajab’s obsessive behaviour, will Dua ever find out about Mustajab’s reality and his web of lies? Will Mustajab realize Dua’s strong personality and her firm belief in Allah?
The description is intriguing enough, even though the audiences have seen Feroze playing similar roles in Khaani and then Khuda Aur Mohabbat.
Here are three reasons why I’m watching the drama.

The leading duo – Sana Javed and Feroze Khan

Feroze Khan and Sana Javed have paired up several times before. Khaani, Heer aur Romeo, Dino Ki Dulhaniya are some of them. I have seen them in a telefilm Dino Ki Dulhaniya. The couple looks good together and enviable elctric on-screen chemistry. That’s the prime reason for watching this drama

The director – Aehsun Talish

I have seen his work Suno Chanda and Suno Chanda 2, Pyaar Kahani and Yeh Dil Mera. I have also seen him act in Mushk. My impression of Aehsun Talish is that of a sincere man who gives his best shot in everything he does. It would be interesting to see him direct this serious and sensitive drama.
The writer – Maha Malik
Maha Malik is an established name in Urdu genre-fiction readers. While I don’t necessarily enjoy her stories (too dark for me), I know that she is an excellent story teller.
These are the reasons I have decided to give Aye Musht-e-Khaak a 5-episode test.
