Drama Review | Qissa Meherbano Ka | Episode 7

Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka. It’s based on Fakhra Jabeen’s short story Ujalon Ki Basti. You can read the story here, and my review is here. The drama is quite different from the story itself, so don’t be disheartened by my review even if it has some spoilers.

Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka which aired on Oct 17, 2021.

Qissa Meherbano Ka Episode 7 Written Review

Hassan Noman often gives quite menacing looks to Mehrbano. I am not sure if he’s on Mehrbano’s side or not.

Oh, that was abrupt.

Mehrbano is trying to make her place in Murad’s house by taking all responsibilities on herself. In the story, she was forced to work day and night.

Mehrbano also tries to look after Ayaz, Ayaz is always rude and arrogant, he doesn’t like Mehrbano or Asghar Ali Mehtab. Khadoos aunty has talked rubbish about Ayaz’s paternal side.

Achhe Miyan is a bit shady. He praises Mehrbano again and again, even makes her uncomfortable. Mehrbano slaps Achhe Miyan. I’m waiting for the time when Ayaz will take a stand for Mehrbano.

Back at home, Noor and Abba Miyaan is getting along well. Mehran’s mother and sister are trying to find a match for Mehran. Mehran isn’t willing to get married, at all. I think this track is just to fill in the blanks.

Parting Thoughts

This back and forth between Murad and Fari is repetitive already. I mean, how many times would Fari threaten to get her brothers involved? How many times would Murad romanticise her and win her back?

These details were not part of the story on which this drama Qissa Mehrbano Ka is based. I guess some times conciseness works better than elaborated and detailed designs.

So long!
