Inspector Jagdish Kumar makes his first appearance in Aurat Farosh Ka Qatil. One of the sub-inspectors who arrive at the crime scene is Jagdish Kumar, who is attentive to what Faridi has to say. He later became a recurring character in other Jasoosi Duniya novels. The older sub-inspector Sinha tries to steal the credit of Faridi’s analysis. Faridi, helps to solve the case and instead give the credit to Jagdish.
He gets promoted to station incharge very soon, as we find in Ahmaqon Ka Chakkar.
