Parizaad, the new HUM TV drama is based on Hashim Nadeem’s novel of the same name. For brief summary of the novel and my review of the same, read here.
Now, here are a few things that instantly strike me.

They won’t cover all the characters and all the subplots
Now, as you must have noticed, this is a long and gut-wrenching story. And, I don’t think the makers will incorporate every aspect of Parizaad’s journey. But I am looking forward to see how they adopt the novel for screen.
I could not corelate Saboor’s character with anyone in the novel. Also, I think that Parizaad’s family is given more screen time in the drama. So, we will have some surprises in store.
2. Why Ahmad Ali Akbar as Parizaad?
Also, I understand why people have reservations about casting Ahmad Ali Akbar as Parizaad because he is one handsome man. But, since I know the character Parizaad, I don’t think very many dark-skinned actors who can portray the depth of emotions that Ahmed brings to the table.
PS: He has done a phenomenal job; I can tell you that just by looking at the teasers and the OST.
3. The Stellar Cast
The cast has some amazing actors and it will be fun to watch the screen adaptation of this novel.
4. It will be painful to watch
Parizaad a gut-wrenching story and my review doesn’t even cover many tragic events. It will be painful to watch them on screen. While reading, I can try and tune out some of those scenes, and I still cried a lot while reading the novel. A picture is worth a thousand words so let’s just say I will cry more while watching the drama.
