Before We Begin 

I have been meaning to watch Sen Çal Kapımı for almost a year. The problem is, I found a website which had listed all key events and the detailed article spoiled it for me. I mean, this drama goes through some pretty bizarre twists and turns. Besides, this drama has two seasons. It is never a good idea. I watched Emergency Pyar, and they could not maintain the contniuity of the two seasons.  All I’m saying is, I have my apprehensions about this dizi.

But then, last week, I saw a few Urdu dubbed episodes of the drama, and I thought–why not?

Alright, with the basics established, let get to the episode.

Dastak Mere Dil Pe Episode 18 Written Review & Update

This episode was crazy. So, I can safely say that this team isn’t perfect. 

Eda and Serkan are late to return to the hotel thanks to detours that Eda had forced Serkan to take. Piril is mad at Serkan, Selin is mad at Serkan and Serkan is mad at Eda.

Anywho, so the much-awaited award ceremony begins, and moments later, the “Eda and Serkan are in a contract relationship” gossip goes viral. Kaan has also made amendments to the contract and added shitty things. The media gathers to talk to Eda. Selin forces Eda to talk to the media, while Engin and Piril suggest that she stays away (I like these people).

Eda does a slo-mo walk away from the people, and that’s when the Prince Charming, the Knight in shining armour comes, grabs Eda’s hands and rescues her. He whisks Eda away to a yacht, into the sea.

I like the whole sequence as Eda and Serkan enjoy their solitude, but the editing was too choppy. In one moment, Serkan is at the stage deliverying his acceptance speech having no idea about the viral gossip, and the next moment he is by Eda’s side. When and how exactly did Engin tell Serkan about this? Did Engin interrupt Serkan’s speech? It makes no sense.

So, All I’m saying is, this could have been better.

Also, Melo is just too annoying. Everyone who talks too much annoys me too much. That’s why I’m not watching Inadina Ask but more on that later (hopefully). In this episode, Fifi, Ayfer and Melo are at Bolat’s house for a meal. Melo has to take a job interview and freaks out. She isn’t dressed, she doesn’t have a laptop, she isn’t prepared, and she just don’t  common sense. That scene was so irritating, I can’t even begin. I also don’t like her because she’s the one drooling over and falling for Kaan’s moves. Just disappointed in her. 

And that was the episode. Now we wait for a week to watch episode 19.
