Before We Begin 

I have been meaning to watch Sen Çal Kapımı for almost a year. The problem is, I found a website which had listed all key events and the detailed article spoiled it for me. I mean, this drama goes through some pretty bizarre twists and turns. Besides, this drama has two seasons. It is never a good idea. I watched Emergency Pyar, and they could not maintain the contniuity of the two seasons.  All I’m saying is, I have my apprehensions about this dizi.

But then, last week, I saw a few Urdu dubbed episodes of the drama, and I thought–why not?

Alright, with the basics established, let get to the episode.

Sen Çal Kapımı Episode 11 Written Review & Update

Part 11.1

Selin tells Serkan that she would leave Ferit if there’s hope for them. Instead of speaking how he feels, Serkan says nothing. Instead, he shows his affection towards Eda. I think he has realized that he has feelings for Eda. Just saying…

Engin comes to meet Ceren. She doesn’t want Engin to know that she is the daughter of the CEO. She tries to send Engin back but Engin stays to have coffee. Ceren ends up telling many lies just to cover up how rich she is. It was strange but funny.

Serkan likes Eda for sure. What is holding him back? That Eda tries to push Serkan away. We see another scene A scene B situation as Eda talks to Ceren while Serkan talks to Engin, both duo discuss if they are in love.

They are, so much in love.

Serkan comes to pick up Eda. Eda is expecting this so she’s well dressed. When she steps out, Serkan’s watch beeps. Funny…

I’m taking to a special place…

I can’t wait to see what that place is.

Part 11.2

The episode begins with the three girls finishing breakfast with Ayfer. Melo and Fifi leave without cleaning the table. Ceren and Ayfer talk. Ayfer needs a bank loan while Ceren suggest taking help from Eda’s grandmother. When Ayfer goes to take the house papers, she finds Eda’s contract. Ceren explains the situation -Eda did this for her studies.

Ayfer asks Ceren to leave. Later, she calls her mother to seek financial help.

Serkan brings Eda to an old mansion. He seeks Eda’s ideas to renovate the house, but the special thing is that it is about a famous person who loved flowers just like Eda.

Eda gives plenty of ideas to redo the mansion.

Then she asks the question that bothers her.

Eda: Why did you bring me here?
Serkan: Because I wanted to see you.

Serkan reminds Eda that she pushes him away. Why can’t Eda understand that Serkan wants her? Why can’t Serkan tell Eda directly how he feels?

Serkan asks Eda to come to office, he also asks her out for dinner. This is so nice.

Is it my imagination or can you really not live without me? Eda asks.

Serkan brings Eda to the office. Later, Serkan asks Engin to do something to make Eda stay. Why can’t he himself just ask Eda to stay?

Things go down south pretty quickly:
1. Eda learns that the marriages are cancelled, that Selin and Serkan are going to London together.
2. Eda gets a phone call from an Italian university and gets in. I guess Ayfer’s phone call has helped somehow.
3. Engin tries to make Eda stay.
4. Serkan also asks Eda to work for him.

Eda: If you want to bring someone in your life, don’t offer them a job, ask them to stay.
Serkan: I can’t do that.
Eda: Then let them go.

Ayfer confronts Eyden.

“Ask your son to stay away from my niece.”

Eda and Ayfer’s talk was so emotional.

The episode ends with a Goodbye call between girls.

Part 11.3

Engin and Ceren talk about Eda and Serkan. Later, Engin tells Ceren how he feels.

Engin: I like spending time with you
Ceren: Me, too.

~

Ayfer tells Melo and Fifi about the contract.

~

Ertikan realizes what he has to do Eyden tells Ertikan to fire the secretary while Ertikan asks to fire the pottery teacher. This little subplot is over. It felt unnecessary to me and I’m happy it’s over.

Serkan comes home early. Eyden and Seyfi are worried. Whatever Serkan does, he sees something about Italy.

Serkan meets a doctor, he’s even ready to be hospitalized -talk about hypochondria and all. The doctor says that it’s severe panic attack and that he should spend time with his loved one; he remembers Eda.

Seyfi calls Eda for help while Eyden calls Selin. Eda comes  to Serkan’s house. What makes her forget that Serkan lied to her about going to London with Selin? I guess she loves Serkan too much to remember the hurt Serkan caused her.

Eda makes herbal tea. Serkan is about to tell Eda something but Selin interrupts their conversation.

Eda still doesn’t leave Serkan alone.

Eda reads “Little Prince” to Serkan from random pages and the passage seems to convey how they feel. It was so nicely written.

Then, Eda talks about her plans in Italy and this is the perfect lullaby for Serkan. Awnnn! So sweet!

Serkan weeps in his sleep recalling the time he was sent to the boarding school. He asks Eda to stay and that he would go with Eda to Italy.

When Serkan wakes up, he remembers nothing. But he still asks Eda to join him for breakfast. Our girl doesn’t stay. She makes breakfast for Serkan and leaves.

Where is Eda?

She meets Eyden one last time before going to Italy. While Eyden is nice to Eda and admits that Eda has brought positive influence in her and Serkan’s lives, she also tells that Eda isn’t right for Serkan, Selin is.

“Keep the ring with you, it will remind you of Serkan.”

Does she know that Eda is in love? Woah!

Now, where do we go from here?

Part 11.4

Engin finds out that Ceren is rich, and he loses his temper. Despite Ceren’s repeated apologies, he leaves.

~ 

Ferit discusses the prospective partners. They have apprehensions about a past accident-something about a cottage’s wall falling. And that’s how Eda’s parents had died. So, in short, Ertikan is responsible for Eda’s parents’s death. Ouch!

Ertikan still asks Ferit to hide this from Serkan. But he confides in Eyden. The project was outsourced to some other contractor. But he still feels guilty. This is going to be a huge conflict in Eda’s love story, for sure.

The girls argue over the contract. But then they hug each other and sort things. Later, the women and Erdem enjoy a nice meal.

Eda meets Selin and tells her that Serkan loves her and would never tell her because of his ego.

Serkan is still not over Eda. He asks Eyden if Eda has asked about him. He calls Eda to talk to her one last time.

Serkan: don’t make me say goodbye.

 

Serkan comes to Eda’s house and watches her as she bids goodbye to her friends and family. Instead of going after her, he calls Selin.

And then he follows Eda like a crazy man.

“Don’t go. I’ve fallen madly in love with you,” Serkan tells Eda.

His confession is just so heartfelt. I loved it.

And this is just the beginning.
