Aasmanon Pe Likha

Aasmanon Pay Likha (Urdu: آسمانوں پہ لکھا) (meaning Written on the Skies) is a 2013 TV show that aired on Geo Entertainment television. It stars Sajal Ali and Sheheryar Munawar in lead roles.

Qudsia (Sajal Ali) is a middle-class girl who dreams of a simple married life. Unfortunately, her in-laws demand a hefty sum of dowry. Qudsia’s family were not able to pay the dowry. Her father eventually has a heart attack after getting insulted. Aaliyan (Sheheryar Munawar), who has come to attend his employee’s daughter’s wedding, ends up marrying Qudsia.

The Whining

We are at Zaheer’s place. The family is still mourning after the funeral.

Aliyan is home, in his room, alone, and he is worried about Qudsiya.

We see the girls gathered in a room while Qudsiya keeps bickering about her poor luck.

Qudsiya: Mere sath aisa kaise hua. Main toh acchi tbhi.

Girl, do you understand the concept of “Allah ki marzi? Qudsiya is such a whiny woman. Chhi baba.

Aliyan overhears Qudsiya’s whining. This drama is tolerable only because Aliyan is so sweet and Shehryar is so pretty.

The Romance

Aliyan is feeling unwell because of “garmi”-sneezing, coughing, behti naak, you name it. Now, he has to stay the night. Ooooo!

But then, after taking medicines, he feels better and leaves in the middle of the night while it’s raining. Disappointed? Don’t be, because he comes back because he intentionally left his mobile home. And he has a punctured tyre. Convenience!

Now, he’s all: I’m bothering you.
And Qudsiya is all: Not at all.

Afiya tells Qudsiya to ask for dinner. I am mentioning it, because Afiya seems like a fine girl. I like her.

Sitting outside on the takht, they talk about their past, and he finally opens up about his mother.

Aliyan: I have nothing to say about her.

She tells about her ring, the one she got from her father on matriculation results. He tells that his father was on world tour when he got good grades.

They talk till muazzan calls Fajr azaan.

And now we wait for the next episode.
