Aasmanon Pe Likha Episode 2 Written Update, Recap and Review
I was right. This episode indeed has the big and cliched “hum baraat wapas le kar ja rahe hain” moment. Yep, it was there. And, it was so dramatic and elongated that had to roll my eyes a million times.
Haleema, Qudsiya’s mother-in-law not-to-be is not happy because she doesn’t see a car. The crap she pulls is too much to bear. On the other hand, Aliyan attends the wedding because he wants to maintain his business’s “reputation”. He witnesses the drama for a “silly” car Can you imagine how painful it is for a rich guy like him?
Car chahiye, yeh lo meri car ki chaabi, he offers.
Then, he offers money, if car isn’t enough. And his offer is taken in a whole different context. Haleema, who was whining about not getting a car, now sets on to tarnish Qudsiya’s character. The “extras” in the scene add their two cents suggesting that something is cooking between Aliyan and Qudsiya.
Upset by the drama, angered by the accusations. He finally offers to marry Qudsiya because that’s what any sane person would do, right?
Not.

At home, the moment they get down from the car, Qudsiya’s whining begins. Aliyan is tired and wants to go inside the house and rest, I guess. But Qudsiya is like:
I don’t wanna, I’m scared.
Abey? Why did you come with him, then? Act like a goddamn adult.
~
First, Aliyan’s grandmother sees Qudsiya, then Sultan and Rana also join in. They all raise questions about this sudden appearance of a bride in their house. However, grandma sounds like a reasonable woman to me. I might be wrong. Who knows?
“Why did you bring me here?” Qudsiya asks Aliyan.
Aliyan has no freaking clue.
Chanda Bi, the maid, taken Qudsiya to the guest house.

Before I sign off, I must mention the horrendous wig for Saba Faisal and her loud makeup. Woman, you need to dial down a notch. I love Saba but I can’t agree with her hair and makeup in this one.
