Adnan Siddiqui: The Man Who Refuses to Age

Note: This is by no means a biography or wiki entry. This is the actor profile as I know them.

I first saw Adnan Siddiqui in Mere Qatil Mere Dildar. The drama was ok and Adnan played a grey-ish charater, and I hated him. Nonetheless, he left an impression.

I heard somewhere that he’s referred as the George Clooney of Pakistani industry. I think there is truth in it. He has maintained himself well.

Apart from his looks, his acting and his singing talent also impresses me.

Below is the chronology of Adnan’s work – the order in which I’ve seen him.

Bakhtyar in Mere Qatil Mere Dildar

He plays a grey character, a man who lusts after his sister in law. You can hate him all you want, but his end does sadden you for a bit.

Haider in Mere Humdum Mere Dost

In Mere Humdum Mere Dost, Adnan is the charming, caring, supportive and handsome Haider Masood who befriended Aiman just to boost her confidence.

Aadil in Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan

He plays Saba and Aarfeen’s cousin. He likes Saba and wants to marry her. However, when gets falsely accused of inappropriate behaviour with Saba; he doesn’t stand his ground. He fails to defend himself or Saba. He did not have a big role in this, as Faisal was the main lead.

Shahwar in Mere Paas Tum Ho

In Mere Paas Tum Ho, Shahwar is a manipulative rich man who is lusting after a married woman and doesn’t hesitate to use his resources to get her.

Agha Jaan in Yeh Dil Mera

He is playing Agha Jaan in Yeh Dil Mera. Although it has been only one episode, the premise of the drama is interesting.
